The United States has chosen to rejoin the organization in July, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) stated on Monday.

The United States will rejoin the UN organization for cultural affairs after ceasing all payments and declaring its full disengagement from it in 2011.

The decision, according to UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, was "a strong act of confidence in UNESCO and in multilateralism."

He continued by saying that it was also a vote of confidence in the agency's ability to carry out its mandate in the areas of culture, education, research, and information.

Of course, it has to, since the greenback(the us dollar) is currently facing the greatest threat of it's life. So, more social stuff like this will be done to wipe up public sentiment in favour of the greenback.

It is what I call "the vicious rat circle," where a rat blows you cold while biting of a chunk of your flesh.

You are absolutely right. US is gradually losing it position in the world. They are doing anything within their power to regain it's social, political and economic status.

No, they are not joining to be recipient of aid, infact they will be donating more in funding. Their major goal is to maintain global dominance.

Oh
I thought USA government said UNESCO was rubbish, so why did they want to join again.
They saw UNESCO is moving without them, so they want to join back and begin claiming how they have donated over 10B to UNESCO grin grin

They need a place to show off now grin
