The thing is, BUA and 4-5 others have done something. Then there is Dangote, the rest haven't done nothing.

The problem with videos like this is that at the end of the day, all Seun Kuti and Hundeyin want is cheap fuel...without any thought about the fact that fuel costs money to refine and transport.

Also, Dangote is not the only private refinery...there are at least 4 others. That there are not more has a lot to do with subsidy. Subsidy means that the price of fuel is controlled by government...which makes profit making by any private refinery impossible.

That Dangote took the risk to build a refinery, as well as 4 others, and BUA....it is because they have the money, and they probably got a promise from government that once their refineries start running...subsidy would go, so that they can make a profit....enough to pay for future upgrades, maintenance, etc.


Most Nairalanders, and Nigerians have a poor understanding of what a subsidy is, and why it is bad for the economy.They also seem to be allergic to the principle of making a profit. It is like they have the idea that profits are made and then dissapear into the pockets of the wealthy. No....they pay for a lot of things...and only a small amount goes into the pockets of the wealthy.

When I saw the bend down and invitation and attendance by the old horse on the 29th May presidential inauguration. With the gathering of vultures I know something is about to go down.

The difference is that David Hundeyin projected this two years ago.

The only way to stop corruption in Nigeria is to attach the death penalty to a proof of corruption and bribe taking on government contracts. Will this happen when the culprits are part of the ones charged with making the laws.

There is a school of thought that says the Nigerian Electorate are the most entitled and ungrateful kind so why would someone go out of their way to kill themselves over them.

The current situation is that the elites first goal is to secure prosperity for themselves and then there are those who also desire to write their name in the sands of time who would ensure that they carry out projects that improves the lives of the citizens.

In the current dispensation there would always be some level of corruption in the system even abroad in the western world it exists. The the task is to discourage through the value system and also encourage whistleblowers to expose the ones that constitutes economic sabotage.

It should be possible for a country to develop in spite of corruption where the leaders are men and women of purpose not only of money but also of accomplishment.
