Remove for what exactly?

NMPDRA is doing its job. They announced that bids for importing fuel would be open 2 weeks ago, and now they have approved 6 companies.

Imagine the guyโ€™s blanket statement. Make them just dey remove everybody dey go, without valid reasons grin

This is a pure scam. These idiots scammed me last year. I will try and get the details and published here for all to see. Please run away from them!

Yes, looks like Dangote is not importing yet....

The main issue , I guess, is that fuel is expensive, and that Dangote might establish a monopoly. But with 6 companies getting approval , I doubt.

Nigerians need to get rid of the myth that fuel is cheap. Even if Peter Obi takes over tomorrow, and returns petrol to N65 a liter, someone, somewhere is paying for the fuel.

Anyway, high time those 16 licence holders who have not started work on their refineries better start work, because this time they have no excuse. Subsidy is gone.

It's called business.

Nigeria did the same thing with other countries. It's called OPEC.

Unless you want us to nationalize all businesses, and have a price control agency setting prices for everyone....which would be nice, but won't change the fact that making stuff costs money.

You don't need to back any government or opposition to knows this fact.

So we should be happy and go to church to give thanksgiving over this? If Nigeria has sensible leaders, should we be talking of importation of fuel by this time? Some times we jubilate over misplaced priorities in this country.

Itโ€™s fake news. The last time the website of the newsmagazine that carried the news was last updated was on May 30, 2023 and the news was reported to be on June 12, by the fake carrier on that same newsmagazine.

A vivid look on the website showed the โ€˜newsโ€™ was fraudulently inserted on the front page of the news magazine.

See it here:
https://energytimesonline.com/

The site is not even responsive as of today. May be it was designed purposely for something like this.

Even NNPC has debunked the news that it was fake.

How can someone spend nearly $20b on a refinery and still use another $730 million to get license and be importing refined fuel?

Why should government issue import license for fuel? They should liberalise it. Anyone with FX should be free to import and sellat whatever price. Otherwise we will only have an oligopoly.who will still fix prices
