The management of Harvard Polytechnic Ilorin has met with the Federal Mortgage Bank on sensitization and education on their housing scheme.

The visit which was aimed at equipping the Polytechnic management and staff members with knowledge about the Bank housing scheme and its benefits took place at the institution boardroom on Tuesday.

Speaking with newsmen, Harvard Polytechnic Registrar, Mr. Ake Joseph Olusiji said: "the primary objective of the visit was to facilitate an informative session in which representatives from the Federal Mortgage Bank could educate our stakeholders about the housing scheme, including eligibility criteria, loan options, and the application process.

"The goal was to enable our staff members to actively participate in the scheme and access affordable housing solutions."

He added that the visit served as a platform to build collaboration between Harvard Polytechnic Ilorin and the Federal Mortgage Bank as the two institutions expressed their commitment to working together to support Harvard Polytechnic staff members in accessing affordable housing solutions.

He said, "the visit by the Federal Mortgage Bank to Harvard Polytechnic Ilorin for sensitization on their housing scheme was highly successful and informative. The session provided a comprehensive understanding of the scheme's features and benefits, empowering our management team, faculty, and staff to guide and assist our staff members in accessing affordable housing options.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the representatives of the Federal Mortgage Bank for their valuable insights, expertise, and active engagement during the visit. We also express our appreciation to all the participants who contributed to the success of the sensitization session.

"Moving forward, Harvard Polytechnic Ilorin is committed to fostering a strong partnership with the Federal Mortgage Bank, leveraging the knowledge gained to support our staff members in their pursuit of affordable and comfortable housing."

Mr. Nurudeen Ali Muhamad, the Ilorin branch manager of the Bank provided detailed insights into the housing scheme. His presentation covered various aspects, including eligibility requirements, loan terms, repayment options, and the application process.

This was followed by an engaging discussion, during which participants actively interacted with the representatives, seeking clarification and sharing their perspectives.

A dedicated question-and-answer session allowed participants to seek further information and address any concerns or queries they had regarding the housing scheme. The representatives from the Federal Mortgage Bank responded in a detailed and satisfactory manner, fostering better understanding and providing clarity to the participants.

The sensitization session had in attendance members of the Polytechnic: Mr. Ajibade Obasanjo (Rector); Ake Joseph Olusiji (Registrar); Mrs Ajibade Taiwo (Bursar); Timothy Samson Gbemileke (Deputy Registrar); Engr. Daramola (CSO); Olasehinde Ayo (Director of Student Service Representative); and Olaniyi Christopher (HOD’s Representative).

On the Federal Mortgage Bank side are: Nurudeen Ali Muhamad (Ilorin Branch Manager); Bolakale Muhamad (branch head of mobilization); Oganija Tayo (Branch head of Registration) and Adetunji Philip (Refund unit Representative).
