“Today for example, if you see one of the demands we submitted is that there are manufacturers in Nigeria, but what policy has been brought to help them?

There is a way, but it means that the government would have to do offical and parallel rate again. But manufacturers could have dollars at cheap rate, plus tax breaks. Provided they create more jobs, and try to get up to exports. Banks too could be induced to cut rates.

Governors are just going about business as usual.

“Their convoys are endless. The government is able to subsidy fuel. They borrowed money. What have they done with it.”

1.Well, some of the borrowed money has gone to things like salaries for government workers, and also for some infrastructure...

2.Has the TUC chair considered that governors are now also paying higher for fuel.? They may not feel it like the common man, but i doubt that marketers are selling fuel to governors at N200 and below.

They won't change. We'll take them serious when they start cutting down the cost of governance.

Politicians can't be renting big houses, and flying first class while taxpayers are wailing in poverty, plying bad roads and living with epileptic electricity.

Heard there's a rumored 114% increase in some folks salaries. If that's true, then...hmm. o ma se

The major problem of Nigeria is leadership . . We have very irresponsible leaders . . They can't sacrifice in anyway for their mandate.

Terrible, corrupt and greedy leaders. That is why we are here now. .

Governance in Nigeria 🇳🇬 has a different meaning. Governance in Nigeria 🇳🇬 is about creating poverty for the masses while the governing class gets richer.
This is the philosophy of one religious group in Nigeria which took over the country since 2015. Bami Allah for the masses while a few are stupendously rich. Problem is that through one Nigeria 🇳🇬, they also rope in others who don't believe in their philosophy of poverty creation through governance.

We just start ooo, for those that single praising Tinubu on everything he is doing, they will come weep after six months.

Subsidy gone
Tutution fees removed
Taxes raised
Electricity tariff raised.
Exchange rate vanished

All these severe austerity measures at a go!

Yet govt has not for once anounced austerity measure on their own part.

By now, they supposed to have brought Oransaye's report out and be merging govt agencies.

Telling the whole world how they want to cut lavish spendings in govt.

Reducing political appointment drastically.

U said govt dnt have money, yet

#5billion naira of taxpayers money enter his pocket every month.

His daughter raking money in the market.

His son draining money, but for the masses leaving them to suffer.

I think austerity measure should cut across, infact, start from govt.

Yet blinded followers keep tongue praising and saying nonsense on the internet.

Not just governors... What about Mr. President, Senators, Special Advisers, etc??!

After imposing hardship on the citizens, you take no steps to cut your own lifestyles, yet you want the citizens to "Bear with you"!

This is the grimming reality of the fuel subsidy issue. Just taking from the poor to feather the rich. They are not ready to cut the cost of governance or their ostentatious lifestyles hence all the freed monies from subsidy are being channeled for salary increment, estacodes, funding large retinue of aides, special assistants etc and not to cushion the economic effects of the government policy changes.

HEBEI:
So what exactly is he referring to

This subsidy removal of a thing should be a closed chapter by now.

If we don't remove it today, petrol will still be sold at 500 or above in the nearest future.

The last time it was removed, how much was it being sold How much was it months ago before subsidy was finally removed

We should not allow the present NLC leaders to make money with our collective destiny like Oshiomole did when he was NLC's leader

You haven't said one meaningful thing up there...! Just tossing words about!

Go back and read the entire post, get the message there, and rework your comment above! Thank you.

Please TUC and NLC should shut up. There have never fought for the common man. After their leadership have been compromised and given fat sums in foreign currency they shut up. ie Osho baba. They are all there for their pockets, that is why you see them fighting tooth and nail to win congress elections. They have a common formula, They talk though and some times arranged to be arrested (to make the plot look real), after that, they come out with a watered down agreement that can not hold water, so sad. We have seen this pattern in the last 30 years. Nigeria has never seen real progress in any area except for personal efforts. The Nigerian people will have to take the bull by the horns and stop listening to all these bulls*t Labour people. Nigerians Na una know oooooo.

If we kept the subsidy, by the time subsidy costs grow greater than our earned revenue, there would be no money left over for anything...legal or illegal.

The honest truth is that we don't even have enough money for nothing right now.

Below...how subsidy affects our revenue. The times subsidy money fell was when fuel prices were raised, reducing subsidy costs.

There is no money for what?

Guess those from the President that their salaries and allowances where increased to 114% are ghosts?
I don't even know where you got this your indices of a subsidy chart from....

Pls there is money....Buhari borrowed $34billion or so to help cushion the effects of Subsidy removal....

Pls where is the money?

Mass poverty. Now all regions of Nigeria have become Baa mi Allah for the masses while a few people are tremendously rich. Symptom associated with northern Nigeria's brand of Islam.
Through Nigeria's government, Nigeria is gradually being Islamised.
Pity those who boast that Nigeria cannot be Islamised.
Buhari/APC has set up a possible 24 years unbroken Muslim presidency for Nigeria.

Governance in Nigeria 🇳🇬 is not about creating wealth for the masses. Governance in Nigeria is about which tribe is in charge of controlling cheap cash from crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger delta region.
Governance is about creating more wealth for the masses in other countries.

Yes, their increasing the salaries shows great insensitivity, since we don't have enough money right now.

I don't support APC, and I feel angry about the salary increase like you do too. It was wrong and uncalled for.

As for me I wasn’t expecting anything different from Buhari & Tinubu

The joke is on people who believes a man that singlehanded paid INEC chairman $370 million dollars will work for the masses and won’t recover his money spent

Imagine how much Tinubu spent in total from campaign to electorates to INEC officials to party agents to thugs he asked to snatch to his political Machineries in all wards to judiciary etc

And after all these you expect him not to suffocate Nigerians he knew majority didn’t vote for him

Their using one Nigeria to tie everybody down to their suffering brought to them by their ethno-religious bigotry, is the major problem.

Who is saner would choose Tinubu as leader? Tinubu did not win the presidential election, he got sworn in as president, propagandists are rented to tell all sorts of lies to bolster his image, an image tainted through drug trafficking offences in the US.
