The National Youth Service Corps Osun State Coordinator, Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim has congratulated the 2022 Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members for successfully completing the one year mandatory service to the nation.

He appreciated the Corps Members for being undaunted, humble and unwavering since the beginning of the service year till the joyful moment.

Agbor, who monitored the low key exercise along with the management team, disclosed that a total of 2184 were successfully disengaged and that 19 Corps Members were sanctioned by the Board due to the lackadaisical attitude portrayed during their service year which attracted an extension of service, while 14 members who absconded were billed to repeat the service as prescribed in the Act and Bye-laws of the Scheme.

Agbor enjoined the Corps Members to put to good use the trainings recieved while navigating through the four phases of the service year. He charged them to embrace hardwork and industry leveraging on the various skills acquired during their in-camp and post camp skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development classes.

The State Coordinator implored the members to cherish the friendships and relationship bonds formed during the service year and continue to be their brothers keeper as they step into the larger society. He charged them to shun all forms of corruption and social vices which only results in a setback for the nation and the perpetrator as well.

He encouraged the Corps Members to continue to be good ambassadors of the nation, their families and the Scheme.

In a vote of thanks, one of the outgoing Corps Members, Jimoh Kudus Tunde, on behalf of his colleagues, expressed his profound gratitude to the State Coordinator and other staff for their impact on the Corps Members throughout the service year and assured the Scheme of their commitment and continued support for the NYSC.

The 2184 Corps Members were seen beaming with joy appreciating God and the NYSC for the privilege given them to contribute their quota to national integration and development.

The low key passing out ceremony took place on Thursday across the thirty local government areas and area office with senior officers of the Scheme sent out to handle the distribution of the CNS to the Corps Members in the various LGs.
