The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has reportedly rejected to welcome Honourable Saheed Olalekan Popoola back into the party.

Recall Popoola, who was the 2023 Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, rejoined the APC on Friday after he left it for SDP in March 2022.

According to a communique exclusively made available to News Bulletin Nigeria, the APC in Offa LG and Ojomu Central B says Popoola is not welcome back into the party unless he retract his statements he has made against the party and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

It reads, Inter alias: "" Attendance; where critical stakeholders of the ward held very critical meeting on decamp letter collected from Local Government Party Chairman Hon. Kunle Adegboye on "said" Hon. Saheed Popoola.

"Reference to the "Said" letter from Hon. Saheed Popoola addressing of the ward in totality, ARROGANTLY.

"Recall his Radio programs (programmes) that useless people are in All Progress Congress while the Prince and Princess are in Social Democratic Party (SDP). He further said our amiable Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and present Chairman Nigeria Governor Forum (NGF) and his generation will not be in any position forever. Ojomu Central "B" Ward All Progress Congress needs the "said" Hon. Saheed Popoola to go back to radio and replenish the party image (All Progress Congress) and our amiable Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq.

"The entire Ojomu Central "B" ward said he has not followed the due process SO HE IS NOT WELCOME IN OUR WARD (All Progress Congress), Offa LGA."


Honourable Popoola reportedly left the APC due to reports of bad blood between him and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
