Do you know how much ICAN makes on subscriptions and exam fees?
Oga, ICAN financial statements are in public for you to review and stop being unprofessional. Anyway, we know the stock you are chipped from.

That does not mean ICAN is above board.

NNPC is by far richer than ICAN, but is still one of the most corrupt organisations in Nigeria.

Religion is the major sector they need to remove subsidy. But I know they won't want to upset Muslims. If it was just Christians they would remove.

Why was FG funding professional bodies? We cant grow our revenue but the little we were to able to earn FG turned itself to Santaclus with it while the citizen grow in tears and gnashing of teeth.

How are they getting subsidy from the government? Do you have evidence(s) to back this up since they claimed that they have stopped receiving subsidy since 1989/90, yet you are so sure that they are receiving it till date?

I am even shocked to hear that FG has been subsidizing professional bodies cause membership to these bodies doesn't come cheap. The money they generate from annual dues, participation in seminars and conferences like CIPMN is enough to be self-sufficient.
Let FG go look for the thieves who have been receiving the fraudulent subsidies.
what about other bodies like neco, waec and jamb...

Now, they should know better.

ICAN is a good example on how a professional body should operate. No responsible professional body should rely on Federal government for funding. They should all be able to generate enough revenue to meet their financial obligations.

True, professional colleague cheesy

You don't want to know some of the corruption going on in these agencies. Most of the levies they collect from members are embezzeled, they dont report it to government or under report it, while running on govt allocation.

Most agencies that collect levies in NIgeria can self-run....who wud have known that Jamb generates so much while still being funded by govt

You are replying out of context. The guy is simply saying that ICAN makes enough money to be self-sufficient and does not need government funding. While you are talking about corruption and needless comparison with NNPC which is a government agency.
