Red and Black Flames FC Otukpo emerged triumphant in the inaugural edition of the Bar. Akpa Inalegwu Memorial Football Competition. The team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Avail FC Otukpo in an intense and captivating final held on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

The match which took place at Government Day Secondary School Eupi Otukpo witnessed a large number of spectators who turned out to watch the final of the football competition

The solitary goal of the final was scored by Michael Ogbole, with an assist from John Ogboji, through a well-executed throw-in. Michael, the towering forward, exhibited his aerial prowess as he rose above the Avail FC goalkeeper, flicking the ball beyond their reach and securing the decisive goal.

In recognition of their outstanding contributions, Red and Black Flames FC Otukpo's goalkeeper, Friday Agbaji, was honored as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. His exceptional saves and commanding presence between the posts played a crucial role in the team's success. Additionally, Edu Michael, also from Red and Black Flames FC Otukpo, was named the Best Player of the tournament, showcasing his exceptional skills and impact on the field.
