Predictability; The Unusual Perspective by BalogunIdowu(m): 12:16am On Jul 10, 2023
"Don't be predictable", "Don't let people know your next move", "Shock the world with your results" .... and more statements that are quite ubiquitous, especially from Motivational speakers. There is no denying that this is somewhat of a good stance and is followed by some while others prefer to have their lives or part of it on one platform or the other.

Generally, in most cases, the concept of "predictability" is usually viewed and discussed from an individual's point of view (POV) which relate to the statements above. There's however another side that is either left in that dark or not talked about often - the POV of those around us or that we relate with including families, colleagues at work or school, etc.

This "predictability" is based on the building blocks of "trusts". The concept of trust is becoming an alien in our society where people think "You can't trust yourself" not to mention others.

"He cannot do what he's accused of", "If she's not in class, place of worship, or the library, check Kemi's room", "I am sure he's not the one you saw at the club" ... and other states is based on "predictability" rooted deeply in trust that people can stand for your actions. As opposed to the "individual" perspective on predictability, the other is quite the opposite.

So while you don't want people to know your next "goal" move, they should be able to predict your actions or thoughts based on the relationship over time at least to some extent. Our lives, if devoid of this concept and may need some checks...
