In Nigeria, if you commit any crime but you have money, no problem.
Just run to the court, the court will defend you of your crime.

It's as simple as that!

I will continue to emphasis on this
No Nigerian politician worth dieing for either from South or North, Muslim or Christian.
There are virtually the same, corrupt old men

Okorochas case was witch hunt and very unnecessary

You people amaze me. Yes witch hunt but did he commit the offence?
Was justice done to the people of Imo state?
Please no need to justify their excesses and unjust handling of State resources

Hmmmm.

How can’t they have their water-tight cases in just one court and ensure proper prosecution? One wonders why they have different cases against one individual in different courts, making life difficult for themselves, the individuals, the court and the country.

Again it is surprising that even in the face of glaring evidence of treasury looting, politicians can get away and still position themselves for the next office.

When will Nigerians elect good leaders and have some peace of mind, please?

Some of you are just childishly sentimental which has no bearing in law.

A Governor can mostly be accused of mismanagement, which means a lack of judgment in the redistribution of State's resources but that in itself is not corruption or crime.

Proof of diversion of funds for personal purposes or to cronies is what EFCC should go after if and when they get watershed evidence.

Education is for a purpose but it's not doing the intended purpose in Nigeria.

Efcc is a toothless bull dog, they only win a case against some low key yahoo boys and not with polithiefians.

Lols , so you expect Rochas to be hailed or what
What of Orji's case
What of the former Governor of Kano State??
What of former Ekiti state Governor ?? .....
What of.....

What of Buhari who made Tinubu promise that him and all of his aides won't be called for any questioning by any agent

Until God does what he has in mind for Nigeria, Nigeria will remain in darkness for ages...

In Nigeria if the judgment favours opponent it is bought, but if it favours yours it is a good judgement!

Rochas arrest was captured on line.
So with all the Rambo and flying through the ceiling the EFCC displayed that day, that even Rochas knelt down and was calling upon the name of God. The finally entered his house through the ceiling.
This is how the court have dismissed the case.

Man O' war is better than EFCC.
We need to reformat this country called Nigeria.

Nigeria is a circus, where the performing clowns are agencies and institutions and politicians are the puppet masters.

The only source of joy and relief in this country is our entertainment industry. Movies, music and comedy. Every other aspect of our societal existence is a colossal mess, including our sporting industry, which has been left to rot recently.

Only reason our entertainment industry still stands strong, exciting and proud, is because it is largely outside the control and purview of our politicians.

Right now, between the executive and judiciary, it's hard to figure out which is more corrupt and venomous. As for the legislature, O TI LOR!!
Re: Court Dismisses EFCC Suit Against Rochas Okorocha by Kcfresh2103(m): 12:24pm On Jul 14, 2023
The problem is not Okorocha or Judges, EFCC doesn't know how to prosecute high profile corruption cases. They are only good at chasing yahoo boys.
Re: Court Dismisses EFCC Suit Against Rochas Okorocha by jericco1(m): 12:36pm On Jul 14, 2023
This is why corruption will continue to prevail because if you steal, the court will set you free.

This country sef me don comot hand tey tey

This idea of taking people to court with loads and loads of charges only to be set free by the courts is appalling. Is it that the prosecution is not topnotch or the accused are simply being persecuted? Is it that the judiciary is compromised and are playing out a script to fool the citizenry?
These are questions begging for answers.

But having said this, I am compelled to say that in the court cases all over the world today , both the accuser and the accused know the truth of the matter. If the judiciary should choose to turn a blind eye to any wrong doing for personal gratification then the whole world should be clapping for them with just one hand.

"Truth is like pregnancy. Hide it, cover it, it will definitely become apparent".

Efcc effected an ilegal arrest by breaking through the ceiling of his house to gain access...no court order just their usual fire brigade approach....that alone is enough reason to get their case dismissed.
Lots of illegality under Bawa led efcc it must not continue

Regardless of who is the president, The country is a goner with the level of unchecked leakages as a result of monumental corruption.

Hoping that Nigeria will get better is just an illusion cheesy
This one has been let off the hook by the corrupt judge and he will be free to enjoy his loot.
It seems the judiciary is even working against EFCC, if not, why will they always set these politicians free even when EFCC provides an overwhelming evidence?
The judiciary is the biggest problem of this country.

Sometimes we blame the judiciary for nothing . In the judgment...okorocha won his case but efcc decided to bring back such case again ...isn't that abuse of the process? Due process should be adhered in this country..All this media trial has been responsible for our inability to know the truth
