BREAKING: Islamic New Year: King Of Sokoto Approaches Muslims To Post For New Moon On Monday The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has asked Muslims to look out for the new moon of Muharram 1445 AH on Monday, July 17, 2023, which is equivalent to the 29th of Dhul hijja, 1444 AH. Abubakar stated this on Sunday in a statement signed by the Secretary, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs, Sultanate Council Sokoto, Yahaya Muhammad Boyi, The statement said the sighting should be reported to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to the Sultan.
