https://icyheroes.com/who-was-winston-churchill-8-fascinating-facts/, with his charisma and character, motivated others. His charisma and forceful personality were instrumental in his successful push for the implementation of several controversial policies, a testament to his inspirational as well as servant leadership.
His energy and motivating style of work, and his inspirational radio speeches gave the British hope during the difficult time of the Second World War. After the First World War, Churchill managed to return the pound sterling in 1925 to the gold standards as before the War, resulting in the deflation of the British economy and, subsequently a deflationary pressure being created. During the siege of Sydney Street that occurred in 1911, the police cordoned off the area assuming that criminals Peter the Painter and two other members of the Gang were hiding. Churchill took charge of the attack, supervised the operations, and ensured that the criminals met their fate in a few hours, dying in fire.
Churchill could accomplish all this because he had the authority over others and could make others listen to him. Whether it was the decision to change the currency standard or hold off the firemen from spraying water to the building which caught fire in the siege of Sydney Street, Churchill could do this because those close to him felt that they were looked after and that their views were listened to as well.
Churchill had the undeniable presence of a master, and people were inspired by his character and his positive views even when all seemed lost. During World War 2, https://icyheroes.com/how-did-great-britain-mobilize-for-war-under-winston-churchill-6-most-crucial-strategies-leading-victory/ over the words of the English language made other people listen to him rather than him forcing them to act under coercion, which is a demonstration of his inspirational and servant leadership. He also had some great strategies that helped win the war.
Summary
Churchill had, in essence a primarily Job Oriented Leadership Style. He had clear roles and goals, a good vision and the ability to coordinate well with his subordinates. His charisma, motivational and great communication ability gave people hope even in adverse times. As a leader, he did value his subordinates and views but knew how to lead from the front. Churchill undertook the most difficult goals and didn’t rest till it was accomplished.
