Apostle Gbenga Asiwaju Urges FG To Redirect Subsidy Palliative To Production, Not Insensitive N8,000 Monthly Distribution

•Tasks Ondo state govt to fix Electricity in Okitipupa, build a factory over unemployment

Apostle Olugbenga Asiwaju, has evaluated the proposed N8,000 monthly palliative by the Federal Government for 12 million households, calling a misplacement of priority.

The Planter of EL-OLAM International Christian Centre aka Word Embassy, suggested that the government should use the subsidy savings to fix the transport and energy sector, as 27% of the country’s average household depends on fuel-related expenses, rather than putting it into a wasteful exercise.

Apostle Asiwaju stated in a Sunday statement that the palliative, which will be funded through a loan, will add to the country’s loss burden, and that Nigeria is about to get it wrong completely... already has a high debt profile and does not need to incur more debt to distribute palliatives.

He said: “the N8,000 is a misplacement of priority.. that is not what we need now. The government is about to run into colossal loss and waste of public funds. The government is about to get it wrong completely.."

"I wonder who is advising Mr. President.. The Buhari's administration allegedly claimed to share money.. no accountability and transparent for it because the program didn't alleviate poverty in any way.."

Apostle further revealed that Nigeria economy is already on zero level.

"Poverty is biting every Nigerian harder, People are groaning and dying of the economic hardship... Nothing is working in Nigeria.... Sharing N8,000 for 12 million families for 6 months is not the answer.. Why not use the money to fix this Electricity dilemma once and for all in the six geopolitical zones..

"Once the electricity is fixed, then people who can produce will go into production.. Then the government can also build factories by this there will be job opportunities and gradually, poverty will b reduce... The government only need to get credible Nigerians that have the nation at heart and saddle them with the responsibility of fixing the electricity for that six month of wasting money by paying 12 million family #8000.. We know what happened to government palliative during covid 19.. it failed completely, so many politicians enriched themselves while poor citizens died of hunger," He said.

While charging Ondo state government, Apostle Olugbenga Asiwaju said, "it's quite painful. I expected so much from Akeredolu's administration, but it's completely off. Nothing is working.. I remember that during his first term, he campaigned in the Okitipupa n Ikale area, of the State, that he will fix the electricity, but he hasn't been up till now.. No electricity in okitipupa for over 10 years..

"I will advise if the federal government still go ahead with their wasteful plan, then Governor Akeredolu should fix okitipupa electricity and build factory to open job opportunities for people.. Sharing money for six month is a no-no, the statement reads.
