Be flexible in your thinking sir, I will say it again, varieties is what made life meaningful to us. Beauty parade or competition has been in existence from time immemorial, you can't just blame them for what they are good at or useful for. The way their actions is irritating you, is the same way similar action is giving joy to another person. The most important thing is the purpose our actions and activities serves in various capacity to humanity.

Nothing is too important, and nothing is not too important, our existence is not just by accident, but by a purpose.
