1. No looting via subsidy scam

2. Forex challenges have seen to high cost of fuel after deregulation because 99.9% of fuel in Circulation are imported.

3. Modular refineries now look like a good venture that will not only eventually end fuel imports , reduce demand for Forex , capital flight but also create much needed jobs!

The same argument for fuel subsidy removal in 2015 still holds sway today.

With a serious govt we can easily turn this around .

Both the deregulation of fuel and the FX market are a big win for Nigeria in the coming months.

The FX window has seen to massive mop up of excess liquidity from the system. This excess liquidity is what Emefile created from thin air to artificially prop the last disastrous Buhari regime. Emefile's cashless policy was a slight of hand gimmick to mop up most of that excess liquidity he created from thin air.

The FG must use the FX market to remove all that excess liquidity in circulation. FYI, only Buhari looters are the ones desperate to bid so high for Forex as the sack of Emefile, who gave them cover in hiding their massive naira stash accounts is no longer heading the CBN.

A deregulated FX and fuel market will in due time see the naira stabilizing to 350-400 in the coming 3 months and fuel pricing crashing once modular refineries come into commission.

Anyone using this most neccessary policy shift for political gain is evil.

Yes, Tinubu was part of those who opposed deregulation and it is fitting he is bearing the brunt for seeing to dregulation of the FX and fuel subsidy scam removal

But we must commend him for being brave enough to do the right thing.

Inb4: "you voted for him".

I didn't but that won't stop me from supporting a good policy though painful for now.

Demand for FX to import fuel will see to a vicious cycle of increasing FX that will see to higher cost of PMS.

With or without fuel subsidy removal, the cost of fuel will still go up as long as we are importing and maintaining a scam subsidy regime.

Let's put politics aside and remember why you supported subsidy removal under GEJ and how politics and a president too weak to follow up on his own policy saw to doomsday being postponed.
.

Even if by miracle Obi finds himself in Aso Rock, do you think he will return to the status quo.?

Will you now support the current system because your Obi supported it ?

Remember that you Obidients blindly supported the worst monetary policy ever initiated by a sitting CBN governor and you did not even bother to hide your partisan reasons for supporting the cashless policy .

What about the ones Tinubu created from thin air? The one Seun created about and put on FP.

In 2020, Tinubu said these:

From the above links, Tinubu is believes in printing more money to meet obligation of govt and has done it now he is in power. Your attempt to blame Emefiele with no concrete evidence has been bursted.
