The President, Bola Tinubu, has written to the Senate to seek confirmation of some members of the governing board of the North East Development Commission.

The President’s letter was read on the floor of the plenary on Wednesday by the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio.

The nominees are: The Nominees for Confirmation Include: General Paul Tarfa, Chairman (North East Adamawa); Hon Gambo Maikyau member (North East Taraba); Abdullahi Abbas member (North West Kano); Zaf Steven Ondora, Member (North Central Benue); Chief Mutiu Lawal Areh, Member (South West Lagos).


Others are: Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo, Member( South East Abia); Frank Achinike Owo Member ( south south rivers); Mohamed Goni Alkali (Managing Director North East Borno).

The rest for re-appointment are Musa Yashi Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs ( North East Bauchi); Ahmed Abdulsalam Yahaya Executive Director of Operations, (North East Gombe and Dr Abubakar Garba Ileah, Executive Director of Admin and finance, (North East Yobe).

We are still waiting for the list of ministerial nominees.

Dele Alake said a serious government yada yada yada. Bayo Onanuga also said his own.

Now they are in power, and have become the unserious government that cannot nominate Ministers withing 1 month of being in power like they asserted in March 2023.

Today is day 53. That is 23days overdue by the attainable standard they set themselves for a serious government.

We should be grateful to Buhari for helping to keep Tinubu withing 60days.

Tinubu does not have a choice, Buhari learnt from his own unseriousness and used the law to restrict the unseriousness of those that will come after him.

Tinubu does not have a choice, even if it will take 59 days, that list must be sent to the Senate and disclosed to Nigerians.

The curse of initial gra gra has manifested in the Tinubu administration.

Hit the ground running, but after few days Usain Bolt don break leg.

I so hate when a government cannot seize the initiative and energize their support base with effective and efficient leadership.

why is tinubu behaving like this, I don't like the direction he is heading to. This Gen Tarfa already finished his 5year tenure, under him their so much cases of corruption, he achieved nothing. Buhari then appoints Abuhashidu former Gombe governor's son awaiting Senate confermation, the guy has proven to be competent officer who headed the Yola Electricity Distribution Company as managing director. But tinubu in his style of leadership prefers appointing corrupt and friends even if they are incompetent

The next should be creation of North West Development Commission and South East Development Commission. Thereafter South West should start their own for of agitation violently in order to get a commission too.
