The number 1 priority for any government in the Sub-Saharan countries is to improve and build Road Infrastructure, it is the engine that helps drive the economy in any of these states! Why you might say? Well, we all know that in order to move goods from the rural areas fast to the nearest port, you need to put the crops on trucks to transport them to the depots located in these ports. Now if the roads are in bad shapes, the delivery of these crops is delayed, thus putting tremendous stress on the villagers that own and work the fields.
Poor roads infrastructure cause trucks to break down which will add to the cost of transporting the goods, these trucking companies will start to factor down times even before they make the trip. This additional cost is past on to the owners of the goods that need to be transported, and of course that takes a bite at the profit margin for the producers. These producers cannot pass on that cost to these large buyers that have already set a price and an agreement had been signed agreed upon!!

Now the producers are the only one that get hit by this additional cost that actual trigger additional cost due to the delay of delivery of their goods to these ports.

Now, we see an opportunity here for road building, improvement and maintenance, these are market opportunities for businesses to help maintain these roads, and possibly build new ones, thus there will be a need for heavy machinery and trucks to do the work. There will be a rental and repair business for these machines as well.

We all know most of the Sub-Saharan countries depends on the rural areas to drive the economy, infrastructure must be maintained to improve the producers profit margin and to continue to exist and plant and work the fields.

Hope you enjoy this point of view, and will welcome any comments
