From the tantalizing suya to the finger-licking pounded yam, Nigerians cannot be short of delicious delicacies to whet their appetite.

But in the midst of all these culinary wonders, there are some foods that have been praised a little too much.

Here I’ve brought before you the top 10 most overrated foods in Nigeria!
1. Fufu

Fufu is just pounded yam with body odour. Now, don’t come at me with pitchforks, but fufu is essentially a sidekick to the main star of the show: the soup! It’s bland and unremarkable, but somehow it manages to overshadow the vibrant flavors of the soup it’s paired with.

2. Moi Moi

Don’t get me wrong, Moi Moi is a classic side dish that can elevate any meal. But let’s be real – it’s basically a fancier bean cake. People rave about it like it’s the secret to eternal happiness, but I think it’s just overhyped bean mush. Sorry, Moi Moi fans!

3. Akara

Another member of the bean party, Akara, is like Moi Moi’s distant cousin. Fried bean balls that everyone loses their minds over? Hmm, I’d rather save my excitement for something a bit more adventurous.
