His response his just laughable.

Peter Obi told Nigerians that he won the election and he will prove it with evidence in court. The court case is about to end and we’ve not seen a single evidence of how Peter Obi won the election conducted on February 25th 2023. He couldn’t even present to the court in his final address how he won the election. So, what’s the lie about retrieving a stolen mandate all about when he never won the election?

Obi’s petition has now been reduced to calling for the disqualification of the actual winner and then conducting another election between him and Atiku to determine the actual winner. He has completely abandoned any claim to victory.

Sadly for him, Tinubu will not be disqualified on any ground as there is absolutely no reason to disqualify him. The so called forfeiture is in relation to a civil matter that has no criminal conviction. The US government clearly stated in a letter tendered in court that Tinubu was never convicted and that’s the legal position of the forfeiture.

So, even in the unlikely event of the court ordering a second ballot on the basis of 25% in FCT, it will still be between Tinubu and Atiku. Of course, this will not happen as section 299 clearly stated that FCT should be treated like any other state in all matters

At the bolded.

Why don't they have a Governor? Since you said in all matters? Or does all have different meanings?

That FCT shall be treated like a state was a provision for that Section 299 and exclusive from other sections grin

The honourable SANs should stop making a mess of the legal profession.

25% in Abuja is not fiction.
Certificate forgery is not fiction.
Forfeiture for drugs and money laundering is not a fiction.
INEC posting different figures for Rivers State in IREV and announcing different winners and results is not fiction.

Peter Obi got more votes from one LGA of Borno State than what INEC recorded for the final State result is not fiction.

The world is watching. You can't win on technicalities any longer when the stakes are high.
I thought obi said he would prove to the world he won the election.
Ok come prove how u won. He dey speak in tongues..... blabla bhg drugs, blabla ggg 25% fct. So pathetic.

The constitution of Nigeria 🇳🇬 is clear (does not require any further interpretation even to a sophomore law student) on the 25% requirement for a presidential candidate before declared winner.
Because the president is constitutionally the governor of Abuja federal capital territory, the constitution framers insisted that a presidential candidate must win a minimum of 25% of votes in Abuja capital territory before declared winner of a presidential election. No one can successfully administer a territory one is not welcome by a substantial number of voters in the territory.
There's nothing fiction about 25% of votes requirements for Abuja capital territory.

The SAN shouldn't have even be the one to take up this case going by how LP and PDP went about the case. It was really a circus 🎪 show.

The one that amazed me was the plastic boxes that was brought before the tribunal like Akara (bean cake) sellers didn't show any thing tangible only pitobi to use it for photo ops and his ekuke followers to be excited 😆🤣

We shall be there when the verdict is given...

This was my earlier post today:

Politics / Re: Tinubu Never Challenged Forfeiture Order - Peter Obi Tells Tribunal by BJanta: 12:22pm
Forfeiture is NOT conviction. It's always a penalty for defaulting , noncompliance or to fail to keep an obligation. But a third class graduate of philosophy would never understand this. Your lawyers are just giving you rotten straws to give an appearance of diligence and industry to justify how much they took from you. Then presidential election adjudication does NOT so much dwell on extraneous and frivolous submissions that DO NOT directly affect the conduct of the election or electoral process. They always have a way to work through that. Recall Fayose's case where he presented credentials that bore two different names. Fayose and Oluyose. Technically, Fayose was guilty and was supposed to be convicted and removed as a governor. But because of the political sensitivity of the case and non-relevance of charges to the actual conduct of the the election, the court ruled in his favour. Salisu Buhari, the first speaker of the house of representatives in this dispensation is another classical example. After being made the speaker, hes was discovered to have used fake Toronto University degree certificate. He never was convicted, but only asked to stp down as the speaker. Remember, as well, Dino Melaye's certificate forgery scandal. How did it end? And of course, former president Buhari’s case is still so fresh in the memory so as not to remember. Obviously, he has no school certificate that the construction requires for every aspirin presidential candidate. Ordinarily having a certificate means having been adjudged successful after attending a course of study. Examinations bodies , employers and all always have this meaning in mind. And that exactly is both the letter and the spirit of the provision. But in view of the sensitivity and non-centrality of the issues to the actual election results, the Supreme Court ruled that the constitutional provision does NOT foresee success in any examination, but mere attendance or passage through a secondary school with or without certification. This time around, it's not going to be different. The survival of the nation is more imperative and extremely far more important than the ambition of an individual or a group of people. Which implies that the individual or his ambition can be, and is always sacrificed for the continued existence of the state. Abiola was taken out of the way for this reason. Who is now Obi or Atiku?

Non conviction forfeiture doesn't exist in criminal offences like drugs trafficking.
Once one forfeits money from drugs trafficking, it's punishment for partaking in a criminal offence.
In any case; Justice Airowolo had once ruled that forfeiture of money or property is punishment for crime committed by who forfeited.

Nice Nice.

All states in Nigeria have 3 representatives in the House of Senate.

FCT? Or do you accept there are exceptions indeed, even in the same constitution you quote? 😉

In fact, Section 299 was clear about which matter it is to resemble that of a state?

Which implies that fct with one senator and two reps is below a state and cannot be elevated above a state..

There's no how section 299 will include the three arms and not have implications for elections

It is the panel that will determine if Peter obi has proven his case or not ...They are not going to sentimental about it ...I will admonish you to wait for the court verdict ...when people without knowledge if law keep saying one had not proven his case one begin to wonder if a carpenter can conduct medical examination .

Apc is hoping to win based on technicality...but is left for the panel and ultimately supreme court to decide. We all know this matter will get to supreme court irrespective of whom won at the tribunal .

Everyone saw how laughable apc lawyers have been ...saying if tinubu us denied the opportunity it might resort to anarchy...but they forgot that abiola thT won free and fair election was denied and nothing happened to Nigeria....The world is watching to see how the court will consider such argument...such argument is only meant for comic entertainment

“Order 22 Rule 5 of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019, which is applicable to the proceedings mandates that “a written address shall…contain…(c) the issues arising from the evidence for determination,”

Technicality SAN, sorry sir, the tribunal won't fall for your antics anymore.
The judges said earlier the tribunal will consider all petitions on their merit and not on technicality.
Everything in Obi's petition was captured in his final written address.
cheesy grin

A lot of you Obidients are hypocrites. So, Obi trying to disqualify Tinubu based on Shettima double nomination or forfeiture of over 30 years is not technicality? The fact is that if the whole arguments were to be made only on substance, it would mean that the petitioners would show the court that they actually won the election which they have not been able to prove.

The law is the law. The law would not change because of Tinubu.

1. 25% is sacrosanct, no judge or judges born of a woman will change the law unless they want to end Nigeria.

2. No past criminal would be allowed to be Nigeria's president- unless they are calling for anarchy.

3. You manipulated the results and you refuse to obey the court order that orders you to allow the petitioner access to the portal. That on its own is content of the court.

In all of this, Tinubu is a goner. Tinubu is a bastard. No one knows his father or mother in this country. I am a citizen of this country and a son of no man can not hold over 200m citizens down.
