Even within Nigeria, UI and UNILAG have Igbo department but no yoruba language department outside yorubaland. See little things they are celebrating
it shows yorubas are non tribalistic in nature .... More population of igbos speak yoruba compared to Yorubas that speak igbos .. even more Yorubas speak Hausa than they speak Igbo... Why ? Both Yoruba and Igbo dey south .. this shows how much tribalistic and unwelcoming and not accomodating igbos are

Are you sure he will send any congratulations as there are no igbos among them and they are not going to teach igbo language.

If he will congratulate them....someone ,maybe Akin Oshuntokun will have to bring it to his attention.
And is likely to pull down the congratulatory message if his headless mob of disobidients ask him to

Nigeria really dodged a bullet

While some are selling all they have to make US, these ones got the opportunity on merit and will even be rewarded with more accolades when they reeturn home after their training completion. If you are great in what you do, the world will notice your light. It's because most of you were defeated and out competed here in Nigeria that makes you think that you can only make it outside.

Its because your Buhari borrowed our future out. to the extent that we now use 96% of revenue to service debt... 'no money for health, education and infrastructure.

our money is now like worthless shit paper

If a Yoruba man wakes up and decided his next bustop is somewhere in Igbo land seeking opportunities… family members go gather to talk sense into his head.

This take is as devoid of any sensible meaning as any gibberish I've ever heard. You think millions of Nigerians that went out of the country did that because they were out-competed, are you telling us that there are only "8 good" Yoruba language teachers in the whole of Nigeria?? Many of those that left the country are also doing well where they are, is it because the whites can't compete with them too?? Or is it because the environment here didn't give them enough rooms/opportunities to grow to their full potential??
The same Nigeria that government is paying Yoruba language teachers and their colleagues peanut each month. This Nairaland sef, na different sets weirdos full am. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This is a commendable effort by both the Nigerian teachers and the US universities and colleges. Promoting the teaching of Yoruba language in an international setting demonstrates the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural diversity. It allows students to gain a deeper understanding of Nigerian culture and fosters a sense of inclusivity on campus. Additionally, this exchange program could potentially lead to future collaborations and partnerships between educational institutions in Nigeria and the US. Overall, this initiative is a positive step towards promoting language diversity and cross-cultural understanding.
