Joy Aiyegbeni, popularly known as Ijo Ayo or Joyprime, is representing Nigeria at the ongoing 2021 FISU World University Games in Chengdu, China from Friday, July 28, 2023 to August 8th 2023. Joy, will be making waves as she showcases her incredible athleticism and flexibility with high spirit on the international stage.

A2B Media reported that, Joy's trip to the World University Games comes as no surprise but a result of dedication, consistency and hardwork which helped her fight her way to the apex of representing the Country. A few months back, the talented athlete was interviewed at A2satsBlog Media, when pictures of her bending & stretching into different shapes went viral. Ijo Ayo, shared with us her experience of training all by herself and revealed that she started stretching at a younger age and maintained consistency.

When we caught up with Joy ahead of her departure for Chengdu, she couldn't contain her excitement. "I am so happy that I'm privileged to participate in the upcoming World University Games because I really wasn't expecting the opportunity to come so soon but if God says let's go, who am I to say no," Joy said. "So it's such a great privilege for me, and I won't take it for granted."

Ijo Ayo's goals are clear. "Well, I expect nothing less than victory and success because I plan to put in all my effort and also enjoy the process," she said. "For the team as a whole, it'll be my greatest pleasure if we are able to achieve all our ultimate goals, which is to win and make our country Nigeria proud."
