The above introduction was the screening headline of the First Akwa-Ocha Fashion Show in 2019 , when it debuted. It was a dream come true after much anticipation over the years of planning
Akwa-Ocha Fashion Show is conceptualized to introduce the Akwa-Ocha to the world, with special emphasis on the Fashion industry

The cultural Fashion evolution which was the first of it's kind in Anioma, Delta state, was put together by Anthonia Oguah, a cultural Ambassador from Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom. She is a promoter of culture and tourism, and has single handedly sponsored the popular Ogwashi-Uku Carnival where she also provides Akwa-Ocha materials to participants during the carnival..

At the moment, the use of Akwa-Ocha is limited without much awareness of it's versatile use and acceptability in the fashion world for the highly fashion conscious people of the world .

The Fashion show was born out of the need to:
1 Create societal awareness both home and abroad
2 Attract the Fashionable people of the world
3 Attract investment for export initiative towards wealth creation
4 Encourage Local weavers in order to sustain our cultural heritage
5 Create a window for attraction, especially on the minds of the people of Anioma in Delta state of Southern Nigeria
