Elon Musk is changing Twitter's brand and logo from its famous chirpy blue bird to "X". The new white X on a black background has replaced the blue bird on the desktop version of Twitter. The changes have also been updated on the mobile app. Musk also announced that "Tweets" will be replaced, and posts will be called "x's" instead. He even changed his profile picture to the new logo and added "" to his Twitter bio to highlight his commitment and seriousness toward rebranding Twitter.

This news comes about three months after Musk officially replaced Twitter and merged it with his successor firm X Corp. Musk confirmed the changes on Sunday by tweeting, "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." He also posted a picture of the new X branding projected onto the side of Twitter headquarters in San Francisco with a tweet saying, "Our headquarters tonight."

Recently appointed chief executive of Twitter, Linda Yaccarino, tweeted about the social media platform's new rebrand by saying, "Twitter made one massive impression and changed the way we communicate. Now, X will go further, transforming the global town square."

Users on Twitter are now taking the time to mourn the loss of the iconic blue bird logo, including Martin Grasser, one of the designers who created the logo in 2012. He tweeted, "Today we say goodbye to this great blue bird. This logo was designed in 2012 by a team of three. @toddwaterbury, @angyche and myself. The logo was designed to be simple, balanced, and legible at very small sizes, almost like a lowercase "e"."

The tweet was then shared by Jack Dorsey, who was the co-founder of Twitter and posted a goat emoji alongside it, which means G.O.A.T (greatest of all time).
