5 Reasons Why Invading Niger Republic Will Be Tinubu's Waterloo by proeast(m): 10:06am On Aug 01, 2023
Tinubu is unarguably the most self-destruct president in history. It could be due to the highly controversial circumstances through which he emerged as president that makes him so desperate to please the West. Firstly, he removed subsidy and floated the naira. Two policies that are highly detrimental to Nigeria's economy but fervently promoted by the West and its institutions like IMF and WTO. The little credibility he had among Nigerians tanked while he became a darling to the Bretonwood.

As if that wasn't enough, he saw the coup in Niger republic as another opportunity to endear himself even more to the West. Without applying common sense, Tinubu unilaterally rallied others in ECOWAS to give ultimatum to the new military rulers of Niger. Once again, the West, including United States, France and UK cheered him on. The situation in Ukraine couldn't even act as warning why it is dangerous for any allow itself become a tool to the imperialists.

Here are reasons why Tinubu's misadventure in Niger republic is most likely going to be a disaster for him:

1. It is extremely difficult to invade a large desert country and win the locals in warfare; Examples abound, such as Russia against the Mujahideen of Afghanistan. America against Taliban of Afghanistan. America in Somalia. These are superpowers yet they failed miserably, how much more poor nations like Nigeria?

2. The people of Niger republic are behind the military rulers; There is overwhelming support by the masses of Niger in support of their military. So, they are ready to enlist in the army, form human sheilds and even sabotage the invading army.

3. Hausas and Fulanis see Niger as their brothers
; similar to point 2 above, the Muslim North of Nigeria is likely to be in solidarity with Niger people and in extension, their military rulers. So, aside seeing a scenario whereby many of them may enlist to fight on the side of Niger against Nigeria and ECOMOG forces, sentiments will also rise against the Yoruba president who waged war against 'brothers'.
The sentiments may trickle into our own military and the hunter will eventually become the victim.

4. ECOWAS has been divided into two; in trying to rally other West African countries into waging war against Niger, Tinubu only succeeded in dividing the Subregion. Almost all the sahel nations are now backing the military rulers, including Mali and Burkina Faso. Also, Guinea, a coastal nation is in support of the military rulers. The implications here is that arms will flow easily from Libya and Sudan. Import of goods will also flow from Guinea to Niger republic, thereby rubbishing the so-called ECOWAS sanctions.

5. It's going to be an international war; the military rulers in Niger have embraced Russia. So, it's a matter of time before the Wagner group intervenes as well as military hardware arriving from Russia. So, what happens when the war drags on? Costing Nigeria both in men and resources? Won't Boko Haram & other terrorist groups even seize the opportunity to unleash mayhem?

I don't agree with the rubbish you wrote but I fully agree with the 5 points listed..

Tinubu or Nigeria has no business in Niger coup... He should also strengthen our borders to avoid inflow this people but I don't think it will work bcox their Hausa fulani siblings here will betray & open Nigeria for them tru the border

Tinubu listen to me.. Face Nigeria. Our own problem is more than the coup in Niger

only a very dumb and even more stuupid leader than buhari will get involved militarily in the niger republic . sending soldiers to go and die in niger will definitely and automatically start military revolt in Nigeria , this nation is already facing her own most serious economic and security issues and the nation security agencies has been stretched to the limit . now pushing men to go and die in niger will definitely end this tinubu government . he should just leave them to sort out their own internal issues .

Spot on
Tinubu should mind his business If he doesn't want to cause problems for his dear country. The country is already a mess. This should be a word for people thinking that having a stronger military will make you win. Go and check the geographical location and Allies

You mean "How I wish invading Niger Republic will be Tinubu's Waterloo"? because you ibbos have been having fantasies and wet dreams on how he will meet his waterloo or whatever since Feb 25th. All of which have been falling back right in your faces by the way.

One week will soon reach, let's see Tinubu's troops in niger. You think it's Nigeria internal affairs that you use Igbos hating to push through? Go and tell the people of Niger that their coup is Igbo coup. Tell them that Burkina Faso, Mali and guinea are all Igbos that want to dominate them. They are waiting for your cowardly boys scout army.

You are extremely anti-Tinubu and always wish him bad.

Shouldn't you be happy that he is about to meet his waterloo?
Here you are convulsing and begging that he shouldn't invade.

I understand your fear, you don't want your god Putin to be humiliated in Niger.

Lol, this is like saying Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso would stand a chance against France's Foreign Legion if they were to invade. These militaries are incredibly weak compared to Nigeria if you go by the Global Firepower index and have 1/5th of Nigeria's active military personnel. Nigeria also has the adventage of cutting Niger's petroleum products making for a very short war, It would be over before it started.

Russia also cant afford to assist much less fund another war front especially in Niger in their "possible" fight against Nigeria considering they have lost 2/3rds of their tanks already. Rapidly depleting their Soviet equipment. Have lost their best soldiers and generals. Started conscripting poorly trained soldiers into the Ukraine war. So, dont bother relying on them for help.

Edit:

Also, fighting terrorism like in Afghan is not the same as fighting a conventional, open war with a clear goal and target. America pushed out the Talibans to the mountains and caves, placed in a new government for 20 years and left due to political shit back in America. Talibans didn't win a single battle against the US military.

Yeeeeeeaaaah...Going to have to press X for doubt on that one.

Seriously, what is with all these fucking traitors in Nigeria? Why are you supporting the ousting of a democratically elected leader and supporting the downfall of Africa to become Russian puppet states? Stop sucking Putin's dick because if this invasion goes through which I hope it doesn't, then the only one facing humiliation would be your master in Russia.
