Sen. Ubanesse the Estwhile senator of Anambra North Senatorial District extolled the revered Yuroba monarch whose responsibilities revolve around the governance and cultural affairs of the Yoruba people for his painstaking and significant role in promoting unity, peace, and an enabling environment for growth and development of businesses across Nigeria including businesses owned by Ndigbo.


The Ooni who is one of the most important traditional rulers in Nigeria eulogised the entrepreneurial spirit of the Igbo man stating that Nigeria's economic demography and unique spirit of commerce are owed to centuries of significant contributions by the Igbos, who have demonstrated persistence, business sagacity, and insight. It is worth noting their entrepreneurial zeal and extraordinary can-do attitude.


The meeting centred on exploring common ground and areas of opportunity for the breeding and cross fertilisation of ideas that are aimed at creating job opportunities that will drastically reduce the growing unemployment among Nigerian vast youths populace.


Senator Ubanesse Igbeke, a successful business mogul who sits on the board of several blue chip companies in Nigeria and across the globe revealed that Job creation and reducing unemployment in Nigeria is a complex issue that requires a multi-faceted approach.


On measures through which the government and the private sector can imbibe to reduce unemployment, He highlighted that Implementing specialized initiatives through targeted training programs, apprenticeships, and initiatives that promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among young people.


Senator Igbeke further called for a collaboration between educational institutions and industries to align curriculum with the demands of the job market while improving the quality of education and vocational training programs to equip the Nigerian workforce with the necessary skills for employment.
