The view that slavery was integral to African societies stems from the transatlantic slave trade and colonialist narratives, which often portrayed Africa as a continent inherently immersed in enslavement. However, it is crucial to recognize that pre-colonial African societies were diverse and complex, with varying economic, social, and political systems. While some African societies did practice forms of servitude or labor exploitation, the extent and nature of these practices differed greatly across regions and were not inherently tied to the concept of slavery as seen in the transatlantic slave trade.

In ancient Africa, forms of servitude or labor exploitation did exist, but these practices were not centralized or justified based on race like the transatlantic slave trade. Many pre-colonial societies engaged in kin-based or debt bondage systems, in which individuals or families would work for a certain period to repay debts or to serve those of higher social status. These systems, however, were not based on the hereditary and lifelong enslavement that characterized transatlantic slavery.

An admirable example of civil relations in ancient Africa can be found in the Mali Empire. Under the rule of Mansa Musa, Mali experienced an era of great prosperity and cultural development. Mansa Musa's commitment to Islamic principles, combined with his vision for a fair and just society, led to the establishment of an efficient bureaucracy that effectively governed the empire. This allowed for stable political institutions, economic prosperity, and a thriving intellectual and artistic milieu.

The ancient African civilization of Kush is also worth mentioning when discussing admirable civil relations. The Kushites had a strong legal system that ensured the fair treatment of all individuals. Their laws upheld justice, protected individual rights, and promoted social cohesion. The Kushites valued a sense of community and unity, which was reflected in their commitment to maintaining peaceful relations with neighboring kingdoms. Their diplomacy and willingness to resolve conflicts through peaceful negotiations rather than resorting to violence were significant contributions to the region's overall stability and prosperity.

Ancient Africa was home to numerous civilizations that possessed admirable civil relations. Whether it was the Kingdom of Aksum, the Mali Empire, or the Kushites, these societies shared a commitment to justice, fairness, and peaceful coexistence. Their well-developed systems of governance and laws ensured the protection of individual rights and the maintenance of social harmony. These ancient African civilizations stand as examples of admirable civil relations that can inspire societies even today.

EnvyandHate:

The Franks had such structure that you mentioned such centralized legal systems which was the Salic Law. The Franks had leadership and community cooperation as various warrior families partook in leadership. We had spiritual leadership coming from the church who helped restrain our power abuses and inspire us to be more Christian like in our rule.

Africa had slavery and it was very brutal with slave raiding, cannibalizing slaves and human sacrifices of slaves. We had no such thing in Europe so there's really no comparison in terms which system was best. We win hands down and it's the same as today because people die to get out of Africa to come to America, France, Germany and the U.K.

You write very well and you are very educated. I am a huge admirer of Musa Mansa or Musa the Great Sultan, yet did you know he used thousands of slaves in his infrastructure projects in Mali? Musa Mansa was a Moor and they were evil slave raiders in the Iberian Peninsula and even there in North Africa. It's something often forgotten when celebrating the accomplishments of the great Sultan Musa.

I agree with you that not all peoples in Africa held slaves and some were dead set against slavery like the Igbos. But you didn't mention any of the people that vehemently opposed slavery only the ones that performed it at a very high level. Such as the Cushites they were famous slave raiders and conquerors. The thing in Africa is it's taboo to enslave own's kinfolk but every other kingdom around was fair game. You mentioned that the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade was race based but in Africa it was tribal base. I really can't see the difference between a race and a tribe when it comes to putting another human being in chains and doing to them what your will. Slavery existed in Africa long before White Jews came to buy them. And even when the Africans sold slaves they kept way more slaves for themselves than they sold. Slavery was brutal in Africa including cannibalizing slaves and sacrificing them to fire gods. And let's not talk about the castration of slave boys by Moors and even the Akan to make them into boy toys. Some of this atrocity still occurs in the Muslim North today to the children of Christian Igbos whose slaughtered by Jihadists.

You write very well, very educated but you aren't very forthcoming on the facts. You are repeating political spin that I have seen before.

Mansa actually means King. A good number of slaves he had were inherited from the king who didn't return from his voyage to the end of the Atlantic. He however did expand the size of the kingdom.

Contrary to common misconceptions, slavery in Africa did exist prior to colonization, but it had distinct characteristics and was not based on race. Slavery in precolonial Africa was more akin to a system of indentured servitude or debt bondage, where individuals could become enslaved as a result of war, criminal activities, or unpaid debts.

In precolonial Africa, slavery was not a hereditary condition, and the status of being enslaved did not pass down from one generation to the next. Enslaved individuals possessed certain rights and could even attain social mobility through marriage, kinship ties, or military service. Additionally, slavery was an essential component of the complex labor systems that existed within different African societies. Enslaved individuals played a crucial role in agriculture, trade, and other economic activities, but they were not viewed solely as property but rather as part of the larger social fabric of their respective communities. Even though the 12,000 slaves that accompanied him to Mecca is often regarded as exaggerated, their fine dressing will not be in tune with those oppresed.

Colonial expansion, beginning in the 15th century, drastically changed the dynamics of slavery in Africa. The transatlantic slave trade, fueled by Europeans' insatiable demand for labor in the Americas, disrupted local systems and intensified the capturing and selling of Africans as chattel slaves. The horrors of chattel slavery, which involved the mass abduction and brutal treatment of African people based on their race, cannot be attributed to precolonial African societies.

The first known major slave society was that of Athens. In the early Archaic period the elite worked its estates with the labour of fellow citizens in bondage (often for debt). After the lawgiver Solon abolished citizen slavery about 594 BCE, wealthy Athenians came to rely on enslaved peoples from outside Attica. The prolonged wars with the Persians and other peoples provided many slaves, but the majority of slaves were acquired through regular trade with non-Greek peoples around the Aegean. At the time of Classical Athens (the 5th through the 3rd century BCE) slaves constituted about a third of the population.

Cruelty in slavery was a prevalent and horrific aspect of ancient Europe's history. Slavery, a system in which individuals were treated as property and subjected to immense cruelty, was deeply ingrained in various ancient European societies. The cruelty inflicted upon slaves in ancient Europe was deeply rooted in the dehumanization and exploitation of those enslaved. Slaves were subjected to physical abuse, forced labor, and loss of basic human rights, perpetuating a cycle of cruelty and suffering.

One of the most shocking aspects of slavery in ancient Europe was the physical abuse endured by slaves. Masters had complete control over the lives of their slaves, resulting in brutal treatment. Physical punishment, such as whipping, beating, and branding, was common. Slaves were often made an example of, with public floggings used to maintain control and instill fear in other enslaved individuals. This extreme cruelty aimed to strip them of their dignity and crush any resistance or desire for freedom.

Slaves in ancient Europe were denied basic human rights. They were often treated as property rather than individuals, lacking legal protection and the ability to own property, marry freely, or have control over their own bodies. In addition, slaves were subjected to sexual exploitation and forced to bear children who would also become enslaved, continuing the cycle of cruelty. The denial of their humanity and the stripping of their basic liberties made slaves vulnerable to unimaginable cruelty.

Rather than bandy words and arguments about who are or were worse in acts of slavery it is better to learn from the evil wrong of our history and forge a better present and future.

I am aware that Mansa means king and that Musa is said before Mansa in Mali syntax, did you know that?

Many of the prisoners of war kept as slaves were the brave warriors defending their kingdom against annexation and slave raiding. grin You are using political correctness.

Slaves were sacrificed annually in Benin Kingdom to fire gods. In Cross River State every year 100 slaves were cannibalized and eaten by the whole kingdom.

Yes I know the ethnic groups who held slaves and what they did with them. I have tudied African history quite well.

There's little scarcity of reports of heinous acts in human history.

One of the most well-known examples can be found in ancient Celtic societies, where ritual killings were believed to be a way of appeasing the gods. These sacrifices often involved the offering of individuals, typically prisoners of war or enslaved individuals, to ensure a good harvest or victory in battle.

Another notable case of human sacrifice in Europe can be traced back to the infamous cult of the Aztecs in present-day Mexico. In the 16th century, Spanish conquistadors encountered a society that regularly practiced human sacrifice as part of their religious rituals. Captives from neighboring tribes were chosen to be sacrificed, with their hearts being ripped out and presented to the gods. These gruesome acts shocked the Europeans, who considered such practices to be barbaric.

Human sacrifice in historic West Africa has often been sensationalized and exaggerated by Western accounts over the years wink grin. While it is true that some societies in the region practiced human sacrifice, it is crucial to recognize that it was not a widespread phenomenon as it is often portrayed. Additionally, it is necessary to consider the cultural and religious beliefs that influenced these practices, rather than judging them solely through modern Western perspectives.

The truth about human sacrifice in Benin and Cross River is far from what is often sensationalized in the media. While certain ritualistic practices do exist, they do not involve the widespread and significant loss of human lives. it is crucial to separate truth from sensationalism and understand the reality of the situation. While there have been cases of ritualistic killings in the past, these instances are isolated and not representative of the broader society.

The region of Benin and Cross River has a rich cultural heritage with various traditional practices and beliefs. In some cases, certain rituals may involve the use of animal sacrifices to appease ancestral spirits or seek protection. However, it is crucial to emphasize that these rituals are rooted in spirituality and cultural significance rather than the brutal act of human sacrifice. The portrayal of these practices as widespread and rampant is misleading and ignores the broader context of these societies.

Europeans in the late 19th century were astonished by the level of civilization they encountered in the Kingdom of Benin. When European merchants and explorers first arrived in Benin, they were awestruck by the sophisticated urban centers, stunning works of art, and advanced administrative systems. The city of Benin, with its well-planned layout, paved streets, and impressive architecture, showcased the kingdom's high level of development and organization.

Could this be really why Admiral Sir Harry Rawson burned the kingdom? Give a dog a bad name so you can sling it shocked?
The British used one of their favorite tactics to burn the city to the ground: deception – they claimed that the Omo n’Oba Ovonramwen had breached a treaty (they wanted to annex Benin Kingdom as a British protectorate, and the Oba refused to sign).
Rawson's action was viewed by many as a ruthless act of vengeance against a civilization that had refused to conform to British colonial ideals. The burning of the Benin kingdom resulted in the destruction of countless historical treasures and irreplaceable artifacts. This act of cultural vandalism was highly criticized, as it not only permanently damaged the Benin people's heritage, but also erased a significant part of Africa's history

Human sacrifice is devil worship it is now given the name of ritual killing but it's still satanic. Sure Celtic were involved heavily in volunteering themselves for sacrifice yet it was the Prussian and Saxon pagans whom kidnapped others for sacrifice. Emperor Charlemagne king of the Franks and Holy Roman Emperor outlawed paganism in his realm. Emperor Charlemagne ended the practice of human sacrifice and other pagan rituals. I have only heard of one Niger Emperor who ended human sacrifices that was the Yoruba Alaafin Sango during his reign. My sources for the human sacrifices of slaves is from Nigerian news mediums not Western.

I have never stated that African civilization was primitive and I am aware they possessed modern infrastructure, centralized government and great artworks. A society can still be cruel sadistic and mean whilst possessing all of the former things.

You will be held accountable for your sins not the advancement of your civilization. In my view the fact Africans had these sophisticated ways of life but still practiced pagan evils condemns them even more. To whom much is given much is expected.

For the record Aztec is not European.
Re: The Secret Pact Between Blacks And Jews by honesttalk21: 2:11am On Oct 04, 2023
Didn't say Aztecs were Europeans but human sacrifice in Europe can be traced to them.

The Aztecs were only one group that made up the diverse indigenous peoples of Mesoamerica, but they were among those groups that encountered Europeans when they arrived in the Americas. A series of interconnected developments occurred in Europe Between 1000 and 1650, that provided the impetus for the exploration and subsequent colonization of America.

Rituals encompasses the body of ceremonies or rites used in a place of worship or by an organization however Godly or ungodly.

Alaafin is a Nigeria leader of Yoruba not Niger.

Yes the Alaafin was Niger Area yet he was the only king emperor I've researched that fought against child sacrifice by burning offenders alive before his throne.

Again Aztec human sacrifice and slavery proceeded European exploration and it was the intervention of white Europeans that put an end to the atrocities. The white Europeans also did the same thing in Africa they stopped alot of power abuses that were occuring between larger ethnic groups against smaller more weaker ethnic groups. Let's not forget some of the atrocities still go on throughout Africa underneath the radar.

One of the best television shows from the classic era of American television was Bruce Geller’s Spy Thriller fiction “Mission Impossible” which aired from September 1966 to March 1973. Geller’s CIA inspired series always led with it’s powerful theme music that was followed by a the Impossible Mission Force (IMF) of spies receiving their subversive instructions from a magnetic recording tape that self-destructs after detailing the assignment. Just as the tape self-destructs after giving the IMF team it’s message so will those oppressors of Black people implode under the weight of a dying empire that lacks the necessary will or desire to reform and repair itself. As far as Black, people are concerned, our IMF team is a sinister cabal of traitors who have accepted the impossible mission to keep us down and maintain white supremacy and extreme social injustice for a few crumbs, a few dollars, a few interracial trysts, and temporary white acceptance garnered at the expense of our collective survival.

Black people have been brutally betrayed time immemorial since our ancestors were sold for liquor, beads, cowries, cloth, pecotile items, and guns by the degenerate African rulers who are the spiritual precursors of the Boule, Blacknecks, coons, negroidians, nigglings, sellouts, snitches, traitors, and swirlers that support our destruction who are a curse of the soul. We must defeat their mission, and there is no alternative to forcing a regime change in the Black community by turning our collective rage and resentment against the internal enemies of the Black race both high and low. Our present sad and sorry ass state of affairs is largely due to our collective refusal to clean house and deliver swift, harsh, and inter-generational punishment without forgiveness or fake religious appeals for reconciliation. The time has long since past for us to crush and vanquish our verminous filth and trash that would delight in seeing us be forever unfree just as long as they have a few toys and paramours of other races to sleep with.

This article is the beginning of a series of forthcoming essays calling for Black people to sober-up and overcome the masturbatory celebration of having Black elected officials, billionaires, celebrities, charismatic pastors, public intellectuals, professional and educated persons, and Black firsts and force these folks to choose sides, and, thereafter, punish all parties that are opposed to reparations, tangibles, freedom, and sovereignty for Black people. There are only two types of Black people those that are for collective freedom and those against it. For too long criminal coon pastors and fake misleaders have sold Black folks the lie that we need everybody to love us, we must be allied with every people, and we need unity with all people and all their causes without any conditions in order to attain the American dream. This is a total lie from the pit of hell, and the people that preach such things are very dangerous to our existence–only flies want unity with feces.

Coonbyah traitors be they Pork Chop Lesbian Feminists, Democrat-or-Die Democoons, Republicoons, and the rest of the garden variety scammers always see value in unity with every other people but Black people. These same frauds align themselves with forces and groups that have non-negotiable terms necessary to gain their support, and our traitors—especially in elected office mayors and members of Congress and members of legislatures—honor these demands.

When working with Jews, our traitors support the state of Israel and it’s policies whether it is wrong or right anti-Black or not.
