BlackBerry services are offline again after a burst of precious uptime that followed 20 hours of fail yesterday.

Orange UK sent out an email alert to its BlackBerry-toting customers at around 13.30 BST saying it had "been made aware of interruption in some BlackBerry data services by Research in Motion".

"Some users will experience interruption of some BlackBerry services like email, Web browsing and BlackBerry Messenger. Not all users will be affected," the alert said, adding that further updates would be sent as the company got them.

The BlackBerry-owning twitterati were once more venting their frustrations on the social network site, with one tweeting: "Dear Blackberry, after the past two days goings on I'm seriously considering moving over to the iPhone side, It's ridiculous! SORT IT OUT!"

The same issues seem to be occurring today as yesterday: punters in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are left without access to online services including email, web browsing and instant messenging BBM.

Vodafone Egypt tweeted: "There is Blackberry partial outage, some users affected from RIM (Blackberry manufacturer) stay tuned till further updates." Meanwhile O2 in the UK said: "Blackberry UK know about an issue with their network and are working hard to resolve it."

None of BlackBerry's Twitter feeds had made any mention of the fresh problems at the time of publication and a BlackBerry spokesperson in the UK said they had no information at the moment. ®
