Failed narative
Peter Obi is for good governance, democracy or military .
Nigers are in tune with the military thats good enough
Everybody should respect that .

You admit Peter Obi supports military government?

Wonderful!

Would same Peter Obi support a military government if it was his own democratic government that is toppled by the military?

Are you saying Obi is satisfied with the process by which an illegal military junta has used the threat of violence and death to remove a democratic and legitimate regime of President Bazoum?

Process?

For a losing and illegitimate candidate who sought to rule a democratic Nigeria that is the leader of ECOWAS, Peter Obi has refused to condemn the illegitimate military junta that overthrew a legitimate and democratic government in Niger Republic.

Knowing fully well that Foreign Affairs and International Politics is not his forte, having posed as a champion of local Igbo politics from his past statements and utterances, this was a good opportunity for Peter Obi to develop on this specific weakness.

Doyin Okupe, who initially led Peter Obi's presidential campaign, had come out fast and bold to support the Nigerian and ECOWAS leadership in both condemning the desecration of democracy and also advocating a quick restoration of the legitimate and democratic government of that sovereign state.

But for the past 2 weeks, Peter Obi has remained ignorant, obscure and unconcerned about the situation in Niger, and what it portends for democracy in the sub-region when Mali and Burkina-Faso are also taken into context.

Even as a significant opposition leader in Nigeria, Peter Obi has remained aloof about the ongoing national debate to find a solution with Nigeria's strong leadership, but is only active in sending random congratulatory messages - which might be why he has remained quiet as he would not want to be seen congratulating the illegitimate military junta in Niger - being his default mode.

The questions many are pondering are,

Being a notorious mandate claimant that is advocating that a mandate he did not win must be returned to him, when will Peter Obi demand that the military junta return the constitutional and legitimate mandate of President Bazoum?

Is Obi bereft of knowledge and ideas regarding the international politics of the West African sub-region?

Is Obi only interested in democracy in Nigeria because it will be to his own benefit as a presidential candidate who has vowed that he must oneday become President?

Is this matter way above his league? Is this a case of "this one pass me ooo" as he shamefully uttered during the campaign when posed with a question of economic importance?

Having previously admitted he worked for the military junta in Nigeria that was led by General Sani Abacha, is Obi more inclined towards military dictatorship, and as such his silence over the matter in Niger is an approval of the illegitimate military regime?

Or Peter Obi is still in search of his missing phones, so cannot afford to communicate his opinion and profer solutions yet?

There is still time for Peter Obi to grow from local Igbo politics into a politician with international influence that can assure the confidence of our international partners, but the clock is already ticking away.

If there is no room for congratulations, Peter Obi needs to adapt fast and learn how to communicate condemnations when it is required, as it is now, to show solidarity with democracy and the survival of human freedoms within the West African sub-region, even if he will not be a direct beneficiary.

Obi's opinion is not required now.
His laser focus is on election matters. Now is not the time to meddle into Issues concerning other countries. Even the Northerners are asking the president to let Niger be.

What a weak article filled with bunkum!!
Is this deflection or damage control?
Your god who is very "knowledgeable" just ridiculed himself and the nation all in a desperate and infantile bid to please his western puppeteers. I doubt if Nigeria has ever been so ridiculed on the international stage ever since we got independence like we have this past week by lowly Niger.
Now he's calling a belated meeting when he's become the butt of international jokes.
I wonder how the coupists in Mali, Burkina and Niger are having a good laugh at his expense.
You guys need to sit this out.
No way you can come out smelling of roses in this self-inflicted mess.

Yet has become lost in obscurity as a victim of his own ignorance of international politics.

Atiku just wants title of President. He has nothing to offer besides making his friends rich as previously admitted by him.

Is this not the time for Atiku to prove his 1st Class in International Relations that he just obtained before the last presidential campaign started?

Is this not an International Relations and Political affair that needs his opinion and solutions.

Alas, he is also empty.

@the topic, is Peter Obi The only presidential candidate on the list, don't you know you equally have the same right to cotest for a president like Obi, have you stood up for Democraycy in Niger ?

I have certainly advocated for the return of the presidential and democratic mandate of President Bazoum over many posts on this forum. Even this topic is still a campaign for such legitimate government in Niger Republic.

The illegitimate military junta will never be recognised by Nigeria and ECOWAS.

But even if Peter Obi is bereft of ideas on this matter, are his aides also empty headed and do not feel the need for him to contribute to this discourse that is germane to the stability of the sub-region?

Then he will forever languish in the obscurity of Igbo nzobu-nzobu politics that cannot win national elections or lead the African school of thought.

Yet he has no ideas on the role Nigeria should play in this matter?

Is he scared his ideas would be mocked?

Then he has no business seeking such a high office as Nigerian President.

Do you not see President Tinubu's strong leadership in display?

Maybe Tinubu should appoint Obi as an Assistant within the Presidency, so that he can be brushed up to measure up to his future political aspirations.
