ZONE 14 KATSINA COMMAND DIARY


BUSTING/ARRESTING OF NOTORIOUS SYNDICATE OF ARMED ROBBERS/CAR SNATCHERS AND RECOVERY STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE, ONE ENGLISH PISTOL, A TASER SECURITY DEVICE, PLATE NUMBERS, AND ATM CARDS

On 04/07/2023 at about 1030hrs, based on credible intelligence, detectives attached to Criminal Investigation Department, (CID), Zone 14, Katsina, accosted one Muhammad Hadi, ‘M’, aged 25yrs of Behind Haman Plaza, Kabuga Quarters, Kano, Kano state, a kingpin of a notorious armed robbery syndicate, terrorizing FCT Abuja, Kano, Katsina and Kaduna states Nemesis caught up with the suspect, when he was accosted in Katsina city, while trying to dispose up a motor vehicle, Toyota, Corolla LE, dark blue in colour, with registration number KANO, DAL 729 TZ, reasonably suspected to be stolen. The detectives instantly searched the suspect and recovered the following exhibits in his possession:
One English Pistol
A Taser security device
Motor vehicle plate number – NIGER, SUL 96 GK
Five ATM cards of different banks
A Bank Token

In the course of investigation, suspect confessed that on 26/06/2023 at about 2030hrs, he conspired with the following suspects: one (1) Arafat Yahaya, ‘M’, aged 20yrs of Dutsen Amare Quarters, Katsina, (2) Ahmed Lawal, ‘M’, aged 21yrs of Filin fives Quarters, Katsina and (3) Al’amin Ndubisi, ‘M’, (now at large), attacked one Kingsley Agubata, ‘M’, aged 31yrs of NO. 5 Winners Way, Dawaki, Abuja, at gun point and robbed him of his motor vehicle, Toyota Corolla LE, valued two million, eight hundred thousand naira, (N2,800,000:00K). Similarly, suspects are on the wanted list of the Kano state police command, for similar offences of armed robbery and snatching of motor vehicles. Investigation is ongoing.
