Something terrible and scary is happening to Nigeria but many aren't even aware. Since Tinubu emerged as president, virtually every sector of our economy is fast collapsing. Thousands of SME's are closing down everyday across Nigeria while big corporations are selling off their assets in Nigeria and moving elsewhere! Millions of people have joined the unemployment market and others will soon join too if nothing drastic is done to save our economy. Already, the latest data on global employment reported that Nigeria currently has the world's highest unemployment rate. Yet it keeps getting worse!

Below are some of the sectors and companies that have already left or about to do so in the last few months alone:

“As a result, millions are losing their jobs and our poverty index is worsening, even though we're already being perceived as the world’s poverty capital. The multinationals that are leaving our country have not only created jobs but have created immeasurable training that contributed immensely to our human capital development over the years.

“Now they are leaving our shores one after the other. GSK which has a manufacturing facility in Agbara, Ogun State on over 25 hectares of land had directly employed over 400 highly technical workers like pharmacists, microbiologists, biochemists, chemists, dentists, doctors etc, and also employed over 1000 other staff.

Unfortunately, some Nigerians are still playing politics of tribalism and religious sentiments while the president is more concerned about a coup in Niger republic.

What happens when everything collapses?
Who will save Nigeria or is this end?!

The things most of us don't know is that, Nigeria is dying slowly and if a desperate measure isn't taken, Nigeria may not survive another 30years, we are in a slow but peaceful death.

What Tinubu did was to take measures that will avert this painless death, we are either to chose the painless death or the painful recovery.
Take it as giving a malaria patient some medication, the effect of the drug is sometimes more sever than the sickness itself, but that recovery fever is temporary.

My concern is does Nigerians have enough strength to survive the painful recovery? What is the govt, both local, state and federal putting in place to help Nigerians survive the hard times?

Oga, stop wailing! Campaign is over. GSK yen! yen!! yen!!! Apple producing iPhone parts in China, does that mean US government is not performing? Rubbish. GSK will still sell their products in Nigeria. It is just the business model they want to implement.

Many organisations are secretly sacking workers unannounced while the poor and destitutes are groaning.

The middle class are already confused and disappointed.

Same is happening with all those companies and businesses closing shops across Nigeria.

I know you've sold your soul for agbado but you should have some shame, no matter how little. Read that part I highlighted above and tell me if you're normal. So GSK closing their factory in Ogun state, and employing 1400 skilled people in another country instead of Nigeria is okay to you?!

Just imagine the things I'm sharing a country with💩🤡😡

Mumu! Companies downsizing or closing factories does not mean the country of operation is its reason for doing so. In this case, it's because of the business model they want to operate. Stop blaming government. Like I said Apple builds the iPhone in China but sells in America. Does it mean the American government pursued them? No. It's just a business model to maximize profits.

Can you do sensible Nigerians a favour and stop writing rubbish?! It would be a total waste of resources if you completed secondary school yet remain so daft. I will certainly sue all the schools you attended for a full refund if you're to be my child.

So, an investor will suddenly close shop after investing billions in Nigeria if the economy is okay? Your sense didn't tell you they're divesting to invest elsewhere. Create jobs there and bring same products to you without contributing anything to your economy again?

If Nigeria's economy isn't being destroyed by the bandits in power, do you think all these companies and businesses will be closing shop in droves?

Tinubu is so useless he couldn't even get intelligent people to run his stupid propaganda.

Thank you for this.
This is what alot of people don't understand.
Without this painful measures that Mr. Tinubu is taking, Nigeria will die slowly.
I still don't think that he is the best man for the job but I support the economic reforms he is implementing.

Lolz, i do not have Nairaland as part of my sex organs, so the chances of me still active on NL four years from now is very slim, especially when tribal fights are the norm on the streets of NL.

All I am saying is that, the situation of Nigeria needs a total and acute turnover, else we all drown. These two policies will go along way to put us back on track.

Nation is at a critical point. It’s beyond Tinubu at this point.

Would need intelligent minds in leadership and the patience of the masses (which is fast running out) to turn things around.

The rot has been there for decades, however the decline of the nation in recent years is really really steep.
