Street singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has taken to his Instagram page to express his affection for the Nigerian police. The singer shared a video of police officers visiting his bar in Sango and declared his love for them.

In the post, Portable described himself as a "Federal Government liability" and referred to the Nigerian police as friends and brothers to citizens. He encouraged his fans and followers to show love and respect to the police and to stop causing them problems.

"Federal Government Liability. God sent Omo Ijoba IKA OF AFRICA. Wahala Musician The New Born Fela. Police is our friend. Police is our brother sow them love don’t bring only problems. Respect them police is our father. God bless Naija Police."

Earlier, Portable had been arrested by the Ogun State police command. The arrest came after he had refused to comply with a police invitation. The singer had been captured in viral videos cursing and confronting police officers. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that Portable had been arrested for failing to respond to multiple police invitations.

After spending three days in detention at the Ilaro Correctional Centre, Portable was released upon meeting his bail conditions. The Ifo Magistrate Court granted him bail of N300,000 with two sureties who must possess landed properties in the vicinity of the court. He was released after his bail bond was presented at the correctional center.
