Apart from security and transportation facilities, developing border towns especially by countries like nigeria suffering the influx of illegal migrants from neighbouring countries as a result of border porousity and inadecuate personnel, is a waste of resources. This is so because it becomes easier for foreigners to make up their minds to come settle in your country and share in the development lacking in their own country but available only a few kilometers accross border. Putting more pressure on your economy, resources and security. |
