After the Russian government warned the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) against military intervention against coup leaders in Niger Republic, the United States has commended President Bola Tinubu’s leadership of the West African bloc in recent developments. The U.S restated its support to Tinubu after the junta inaugurated a new government made up of soldiers.

ECOWAS, chaired by Tinubu, had threatened to use force against the coup plotters but following the expiration of its ultimatum, the body ordered the military in member states to be on standby for possible invasion of Niger.

“We believe that a military solution to the crisis in Niger could lead to a protracted confrontation in that African country, and to a sharp destabilisation of the situation in the Sahara-Sahel region as a whole,” the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry said about the development of three days ago.

But in defiance to ECOWAS, the military said Sunday that it will prosecute the ousted Niger President, Mohamed Bazoum, for treason. These drew the anger of ECOWAS on Monday as it described the soldiers’ move as a “provocation” while still upholding its economic sanctions against the country. On Monday, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, revealed he put a call through to President Tinubu to commend him on the steps he has taken so far on the Niger political standoff.

“Spoke to Nigerian President Tinubu to commend his leadership of the Economic Community of West African States and discussed shared efforts to restore constitutional order in Niger,” he tweeted.

Apparently, the US is backing ECOWAS and the Nigerian Government while Russia has taken a different position on the development.

Meanwhile, multiple foreign media reported how Nigeriens trooped out to praise the junta while waving Russian flags.

France and the US are not ready to spend!

Broker a good deal ECOWAS and provide TWO nuclear warheads.

We can get down below geo locations with both nuclear war heads, and sanity will return. Win-win for all party’s.

It will be foolish for Tinubu to lead the war against fellow African brothers in the interest and request of USA and its allies who are known for killings and profiteering during war.

Africa will be the greatest losers in the war is persecuted.

The USA and arguably the rest of the west keeps exposing their Hypocritical nature, thanks to Putin for setting the stage for the world especially Africans to know how evil the west are, Ukraine was wrong for trusting and believing them from the onset, Africans should know that it is possible to make the west struggle to come for job opportunities and better life in African, if only Africans can take hold of their respective countries, learn to manage their resources and hold the current criminals they have as leaders responsible.

I have tried to restrain myself from talking about this Niger junta take over and the military intervention by ECOWAS for long.

Most Nigerians are emotional hence skewed in their
assessment of the whole matter.

The West (USA, UK, France, etc) have always been known for their evils and onslaught against many nations of the world, especially Africa.

It's is no longer a secret that the only way for them to remain on top, is by ensuring African countries have leadership problems and internal crises, so that they can keep having access to our natural resources ...

However, Russia is far worse and this sudden romance with Russia by some African leaders/countries is just like a case for running from frypan to fire.
All these countries listed above don't have the slightest love for Africans. If Russia could devastate and kill their closely related Ukrainian brothers the way they did, then what is an African nation to them!?

Make no mistake, this is a fight for world power and in my opinion we better not get liberated only to fall into the hands of far more worse controllers.

I keep saying that: "If Russia or China wielded the kind of power and influence the US wields today, the entire world will be worse off!"

Back to base: Inasmuch as we can sense that the leadership of ECOWAS is being pushed by the selfish and wicked West to do their bidding, we still don't have a choice than to act!

It is very dangerous for a country like Nigeria to sit down and watch Russia infiltrate Niger without doing anything. It will eventually turn to a big problem for the ECOWAS states especially Nigeria.

Make no mistake, Nigeria is still the giant of Africa, and whoever successfully tames Nigeria, will get the chunk of Africa.

I can't exhaust this discussion here honestly, there's way more happening than what we're all seeing happen around the world but I'll leave with these final words:

"I want a Africa so free from the West, Russia and China; a Africa with good leaders who will decide to make the aforementioned treat us with regard as respect while begging us for our resources instead of stealing them."

Which fellow African brothers?

Is it the ones killing our citizens, the ones seizing their businesses, or the ones using our women and children as modern day slaves, or the one levying burdensome taxes on them to force them out?

We should forget this African brothers thing and focus on our self interests. After our interests then come our fellow Africans.

America and Europe are fast recognizing Nigeria's huge role in Africa and the world under President Tinubu. They are seeing a competent leader that can influence and lead Africa to lofty ideals. What an old man sees sitting down a kid cannot see standing up. May your reign last, Mr. President!

It is obvious Tinubu's script of bullying Niger is because he is trying to please the United States and France.
Someone should tell him that this comes at a great cost.
