I want to think that we are better and more educated than this. The problem with nationalism is that it often times degrade to Tribalism, petty sensationalism and nepotism. Its almost as if we are primary school pupils Where people will vilify a person because of their tribe as if they had anything to do with the accident of thier birth We see how they celebrate the Lasu Law graduate and vilified the Jambite girl. Now Governors are picking their own super falcons to celebrate, ghen ghen ti ghen ghen this one is our own !! If you celebrate igbo own we will celebrate our own Yoruba own. Isn't this foolishness and at the supposed apex of academics it is a show of shame. At a time when we should be unified we are drifting further apart. Na wa o. I hope we don't pass this hate on to the next generation it will take us nowhere. |
