Another Scramble For Africa Is Presently Ongoing But Nigerians Are Busy Fighting by naija1stnigar(m): 12:56pm On Aug 18, 2023
Going back to history we all aware of how the Berlin conference of 1884/1885 birth what we know as the scramble for Africa. Different African tribes and nations were taken captive and reorganized by famous European powers and we're governed directly from those countries like Britain, France, Portugal etc.
As times went by Nigerians were schooled in different parts of the world, and would later realize the importance of self governance. The exploits of great Nigerians like Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Anthony Enahoro and others later birth our independence from our colonial masters, many of which granted those independence with tears because they knew what they would loose.
After they had all left, an uncommon and unconventional concept called"neo- colonialism continues to exist up till date, and that has brought the the rich continent of Africa to her kneels, as supposed leaders of different African States would always grant the interest of Western powers at the detriment of the citizens of such countries. Our resources has birth more successes to the west and in contrast more misfortune to Africans. This invisible but powerful concept has shown how myopic an average African can be.
The case of Nigeria is peculiar here because, as a country with over 250 ethnic groups and speaks over 300 languages we have over the years embarked on hatred along our different ethnic lines and are always ready to fight one another to defend the interest of a few who called themselves leaders but are only there to sell the rest of us out.
A lot of us are still locked up in that inter tribal hatred while another scramble for Africa is already on going.
This time between mighty powers like Russia, China and north Korea against Western powers like the United States, the United kingdom, France and others. If we can see clearly, we will know how soldiers are beginning to overthrow civilian governments in different African countries like Burkina Faso, Mali, Equatorial Guinea and just recently Niger which is the closest to Nigeria. Without any doubt we can all see how the Russian president has publicly backed these countries up and we can also see how the west is making inroads to this issue using puppet Ecowas headed by Bola Tinubu who heads the committee of west African leaders with slave mentality. Without any doubt it is quite possible that a proxy war might begin in no distant time, which is likely be fought by to puppet Ecowas and other Russian controlled slave states in Africa. But Nigerians have gone quiet on this issue, with our education, we see no reason to speak out when even if the war starts those foreign nations have nothing to loose, but we will rather have many things to loose, ranging from economy to security to infrastructure even to the lives of our loved ones, but we have rather chosen to remain indolent and rather find pleasure in attacking ourselves along ethnic and religious lines. In view of this, the following are the few questions to ask from sound minds:
1. Why has Africa always been victim to the west?
2. even with our education this time when another scramble for Africa is presently ongoing, what can we do to revive Africa from foreign dominance?
3.Shall we continue in our inter tribal/ inter religious hatred and achieve anything?
4. To drive back these foreign forces who are hell bent on destroying the future of our coming generations requires that Africans unite, is this unity possible when the Average Yoruba hates the Average Igbo because of Tinubu vs Peter obi matter?
5. What should we do to make sure that Nigeria does not become a victim of this scramble that has gotten to our neighbors Niger and what role should the Nigerian youths play this time to prevent that from happening.
Thanks, I will be expecting reasonable comments.
