Which of the C-Class has 14MPG? Did you ask him if he is talking about a W202, W203, W204 or W205? Did you care to ask if the estate he is talking about is a C180, C200, C220, C230, C300, C350 or C400... Or where did you get the 14MPG from?

You can make your point and still be respectful to someone's opinion. For every car the Mpg worsens with age and I sure that's where he is getting the 14.

the w202 has an M111 kompressor engine
the w203 has an M271 Kompressor engine
the W203 also has a M271 Kompressor engine.

NONE OF THE ABOVE ENGINES HAVE SUCH TERRIBLE MPG.
However we learn everyday, kindly back up your claim with facts and your source.
