Kidnapped Imo Commissioner Regains Freedom OWERRI – Imo State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Lady Chioma Ogoke, who was kidnapped nearly one week ago in Owerri, has been released by her captors. Confirming the news in a telephone interview, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. Obinna Duruji, said his colleague was released in the early hours of yesterday. He said: ”The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Lady Chioma Ogoke, has been released by her captors. She was released today (yesterday).” When asked whether any ransom was paid, the Commissioner declined comment, especially as security agencies are said to be still probing the incident. Dr. Duruji said the hoodlums dropped Lady Ogoke somewhere around Nwaorieubi, Mbaitoli Local Council Area of the state, from where she quickly picked a cab to her residence. The commissioner could not tell if anybody had been arrested or not, but only pointed out that he would not like to say anything that would jeopardize investigation into the matter. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/10/kidnapped-imo-commissioner-regains-freedom/ |

I don't get it either. What will happen next, will someone kidnap a governor for ransom? Or kidnap the president? You never hear of these type of strange tales happening in civilized lands |

It's when governors, senators and a sitting president gets kidnapped that people will wake up to reality. I don't mean to sound harsh but why do we black folks wait until the worst has happened before we take decisive action? This kidnapping thing started as acts of rebelliousness in the Niger Delta and in a space of few years, it has become as common as armed robbery. We all know the root of all this : (1)Poverty (2)Unemployment (3)No social security (4)No health care (5)No govt assistance/grants (6)etc The list is endless. These "leaders" are only interested in looting as much as they can and they don't give a damn about the masses. Isn't it ironic that all their wealth is stashed abroad? They know this country is on the verge of collapse and they are not interested in doing anything to save the situation. Until Nigerians take a cue from their Egyptians counterparts, these things will continue to get worse. Already, we have joined the league of suicide bombing nations. What next? Nuclear detonation on Nigerian soil? |

Very soon some desperados go kidnap the Ikemba of Nnewi himself. Unfortunately, the ugly wh.ore Bianca will not pay a penny as ransom for the useless vegetable, so they might as well chop off his redundant tes.ti.cles and sell it to the Okija Shrine priest for rituals. |
