Supporters of Peter Obi have continued to accuse Atiku Abubakar of being corrupt and a criminal despite having never been convicted before; rather, their concision is drawn from political hearsay, which they cannot establish.
 
The same group has continued to claim that Peter Obi is a saint and not corrupt.
 
It's on record that Peter Obi served as Governor of Anambra State for two terms, 2006–2010 and 2010–2014. In his eight years as governor, Peter Obi reluctantly refused to conduct local government elections, which is against the constitution of the Federal Republic. Obi siphoned off the allocations of the LGA for 7 years and 9 months. (This is corruption and abuse of the rule of law.)
 
Peter Obi diverted public funds to his family's privately owned business, Next International, in the criminal guise of purchasing shares for the government without due approval. The whereabouts of the funds are unknown to date. (Corruption and criminal diversion of public funds.)
 
For eight years of Peter Obi's tenure as governor, Anambra State never had a public budget or appropriation. It was a secret budget system where the taxpayers in the state were denied knowledge of how their money was being spent. (lack of transparency).
 
Thousands of young people (not convicted) were butchered by the police while Peter Obi was the Chief Security Officer of the State, and their remains were thrown into a river. To date, no arrest has been made.
 
Peter Obi was accused of bribery by the then National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, for his decision to disqualify Professor Soludo in the primaries of 2013, and to date, he hasn't denied it.
 
Peter Obi sold many government-owned properties to friends and associates; a notable one is the former ANIDS, which was sold to Benjamin Uba, which the latter renamed BENFLO Motors.
 
Peter Obi left liabilities of over 180 billion naira in Anambra State but never mentioned them; rather, he has continued to deceive the public with his stereotypes of leaving behind 75 billion naira in cash and assets.
 
Not having a file at the EFCC doesn't make him less of a corrupt and criminal public servant; instead, he committed all the crimes while in APGA, and the party had a tradition of not taking its former governors to court or releasing evidence to interested parties. So long as he continues to lie his way around to hoodwink vulnerable people, Peter Obi is not just CORRUPT, but also morally bankrupt.
