Bandits’ Control Of 23 LGAs Is Alarming - Punch by Omooba77: 7:48am On Aug 25, 2023 |
THREE months into President Bola Tinubu’s administration, insecurity is once more escalating rapidly. A report that at least 23 local government areas in three North-West states are currently under the control of bandits underscores the gravity of the situation and harks back to the time terrorists ruled over 27 LGAs across the North-East. The PUNCH reported that farmers and residents in 23 LGAs in Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states have abandoned their farms and communities, fleeing rising bandit criminality. This and other developments reinforce growing public perception that Tinubu is distracted by politics and is misplacing national priorities. He should take security more seriously. https://punchng.com/bandits-control-of-23-lgas-alarming/ 4 Likes 1 Share

Gazzah. A terrorist is a terrorist, what type of embellishment is “bandits”? This is nauseating. I diss Nigerian journalists with “Jaga Jaga” by Eedris Abdulkareem. Great jam!. 35 Likes 4 Shares |

TemplarLandry: Your concern is centered around the semantics being used by Journalists in reporting the odious state of affairs and not in the failure of Tinubu's government to ensure adequate security of lives and properties abi? Typical corn-demic reasoning! 38 Likes 4 Shares |

The Nigerian government (especially the military) is simply playing politics, using the boko boys as bait.. That was how the military chiefs heightened tension, just to get fat money bags from Buhari (the most clueless head of state ever!), in the name of fighting insurgents ... 4 Likes |
