Hon MINISTER of WOMEN AFFAIRS CELEBRATES HER APPOINTMENT AND SWEARING IN WITH INDIGENT PATIENTS in NATIONAL HOSPITAL ABUJA

The Hon Minister of women Affairs Barr Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, today, after her swearing reported briefly at the Women House to a rousing welcome of all staff of the Ministry. Thereafter, she proceeded to National Hospital, Abuja to visit some of the indigent patients. The Hon Minister and her entourage were welcomed by the the top management staff led by the CMD, Associate Professor Raji Mahmud.
In his welcome address, he congratulated her on her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expressed the appreciation of the hospital management to her for considering to come and thank God in celebrating her swearing in today with the Indigent patients of the Hospital.
The CMD and the Deputy Director Public Relations, Dr Tayo Haastrup led the Hon. Minister with her entourage to the wards to see some of the indigent patients. She encouraged them by giving them money, wishing them well and promising to continue her support to the poor and indigent patients.
In her promise to one of the patients who's being treated for burns injury from a fire incident, she said that she will use her first salary as a minister to settle the bills of this patient in the hospital.
Hon Minister of Women Affairs has been supporting indigent patients in National Hospital for the past 5 years.
A Philanthropist to the core, Barr Uju Ohanenye has received a lot of prayers from so many of these patients.
All the patients visited today congratulated her, and wished her well in her new assignments.
