In August 2021, Anita Okoye, an entrepreneur and children's retailer best known as Paul Okoye's wife made the difficult decision to file for divorce from her husband of 7 years, Paul Okoye of PSquare. Despite being together for 17 years, starting as University sweethearts, Anita revealed in leaked divorce documents that Paul's infidelity and absentee parenting were some of the primary reasons for their separation.

To prioritize the well-being of herself and her three children, Anita relocated to the U.S. with their three young children. In early December of 2022, Anita and Paul Okoye's divorce was finalized in court.
