We are currently seeking candidates for the following role:

Position: Piping Engineer (PIE)
Reference No: 2006011
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Project: Rehabilitation & Revamping of Port Harcourt Refinery
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday; No Rotation

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate on updating Engineering estimating criteria by incorporating insights from previous projects' historical data.
Assist the Project Leader and Department Head in crafting the project execution strategy and ensure its implementation throughout the project's duration.
Allocate tasks within the assigned team, ensuring comprehensive information availability at every project phase.
Provide support to subcontractor personnel in their task execution.
Extend technical assistance to the project team for resolving potential discrepancies in drawings, specifications, etc.
Keep subcontractor team well-informed about applicable codes and standards.
Facilitate seamless information flow within the drafting team, ensuring uniformity in design and drafting endeavors.
Obtain proper authorization for any exceptions or alterations to applicable procedures or contract requisites, per the project coordination procedure.
Ensure consistency of comments and their inclusion in drawings, in line with the applicable procedure.
Review, issue, and monitor General Notes on drawings, typical piping details, plot plans, and scope layout study specific to the project.
Prepare and maintain the drawing index.
Assure that the 3D model adheres to design standards, participate in internal and Client model reviews.
Provide constructive feedback to the Project Leader on issues arising from standard method applications and work instructions.

Person Specification:

Knowledge & Qualifications:

University Degree or equivalent educational background.

Experience:

Management experience as a Piping Engineer in at least two plants within an EPC company.
Experience with gas treatment plants.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and management aptitude.
Effective teamwork, self-motivation, and autonomy, with a strong focus on timely performance and issue resolution.
