The management of the state of the art, magnificent and fully-equipped luxury 42-bed ensuite mixed hostel has given the nod to officially open and commission the sprawling edifice on Thursday, September 14, 2023 by 11 a.m. prompt. Coinciding with the momentous occasion is the launch of soaverify.com, an innovative online platform designed to streamline property rental and lease management, catering to property owners and managers alike.

Speaking on the amenities at the hostel, the Chief Executive Officer, soaverify.com, Mr. Tayo Olajide stated that the hostel which is situated at Harmony Estate, Kango Village, is less than a kilometre to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)’s main gate. He emphasized that the hostel sets a new standard for student accommodations in Nigerian tertiary institutions, noting that the model aligns with hostels found in higher education institutions in the United States and other developed nations.

He elaborated on the exceptional features of Star of Alice Hostel, which boasts of fully furnished accommodations equipped with its dedicated 200KVA transformer on a 33KVA line, ensuring reliable power supply. According to him, each room has an independent pre-paid meter, contributing to transparent billing. Describing the commitment to safety and security as holistic, he stressed that it was evident with the installation of a 24-hour CCTV system, including night watch guards. He added that the hostel has a Cafeteria, Common Room, Security Post, and Laundromat to cater to the needs of students and visitors.

Addressing water needs, Mr. Olajide highlighted the industrial borehole with Seven 500-gallon tanks and multiple outer taps to ensure uninterrupted water flow. The rooms are furnished with wardrobes for added convenience. Mr. Olanrewaju Adeniji, one of the Executive Directors, underlines the provision for extracurricular activities, including a 'green area' for sports and relaxation, along with a Public Address System for ease of communication with residents.

He, therefore, stated that the commissioning of the hostel would be officially performed by Rev. Fr. Dominic Olagbaju, the Cathedral Administrator of the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cathedral, Abeokuta, adding that the event would draw notable figures from the real estate sector, academia, and prominent entrepreneurs, both local and international.

The application streamlines reconciliation processes, eliminating the need for physical paperwork, while also facilitating efficient e-filing, enabling landlords to access tenant files in real-time from anywhere.
