Wike assertion that nobody can suspend him from PDP: Dele Momodu replies to him
Chief Dele Momodu, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has asked former Rivers state Governor Nyesome Wike who has claimed that nobody can suspend him from PDP if "he has become the sole owner of PDP that he cannot be disciplined by a 24-year old political party.”
Recall that Nyesome Wike who is now the FCT Minister had appeared on Channels Television on Thursday said even though he is a minister under the Tinubu led APC government, he remains a PDP member and dared the party to suspend him.
But Mr Momodu in a statement shared with newsmen said “it would have been nice to know if he founded the party or when he acquired majority shares in it since he now has more money than ALIKO DANGOTE.”
Mr Momodu, in his statement, asked the former governor to quote the portion of the PDP Constitution that says power must come to the South.
The statement reads in part; “He should tell the world the Chairman of the Zoning Committee that threw the contest open to all zones of the party and why he agreed to buy the Presidential nomination form."
“When did WIKE become the Champion of the South; was it after his bid to be Vice President to ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR was rejected or after requests to handpick the juiciest Ministerial portfolios, like the ones he got from ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU, were rebuffed.
Would he have continued to flagrantly badmouth ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR if he had selected him as his runningmate?
“WIKE and four other Governors were parading themselves as G5 while frolicking from Nigeria to Europe and back. Three of them from Benue, Enugu, and Abia lost their senatorial bids, spectacularly and resoundingly. SEUN should have asked WIKE, "Where are the other “suicide bombers” today?" Gone with the wind. *The G5 was always about one man’s ego and ambition.*
*WIKE claimed, contentiously, that he delivered Rivers State to TINUBU, only one state out of six in the South/South region. Was that enough to justify all this grandiloquent vituperation by Nigeria’s co-President, WIKE?

“WIKE seems to know more about the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal verdict ahead of the rest of us by saying on television that he and his people are only waiting for PEPT to finish, in order to unleash a reign of one party state on Nigeria.
His mission is very clear, collapse PDP and hand over its remnants to APC, as long as he remains the co-President of TINUBU and allowed to go all out on his vengeful mission

With all the anti-party attitudes of Wike the PDP still make his state Governor the Vice Chairman PDP Governors Forum.. Does that tell you something about how strategic and important Rivers state is to survival of PDP in the SS?

I don't know Politics? Politics wey PDP know na im put them for where dem dey today.

I also know that one of the reasons why they are keeping Wike is because of the structure in Rivers state.

But the PDP needs to stop being foolish and realize that Wike will never direct that structure for the good of PDP, he would always use that structure to work against PDP.

PDP should know by now that they only have Rivers state on paper.

In reality, Rivers state is not with them.
That's how they kept procrastinating about Wike before the elections, thinking he would change his mind and work for them.

Very good point. You can reflect on your input to understand why it was a good outcome that PDP lost election. They are weak! We dont want weak party governing Nigeria.

Moreover, Abubakar Atiku lack leadership skills. Under him, everyone in the party is just doing anyhow. He is focused on acquiring the title of President of Nigeria, he lacks competency to lead and influence. A stark opposite of Tinubu, who packs ambition, leadership and influencing all under his arm and uses it to manage and expand.

If Tinubu was the one in Atiku's position Wike would never had left PDP. To stress this point, look at Aregbesola for instance. If Aregbe allies had pulled off a win for APC in Osun he would have demonstrated that he is an asset, and Tinubu would recognize and grab him closer. That's what he did with Ambode in Lagos. They pushed him away...but he turned around and showed them how valuable he was to the party. Without doubt both Sanwo and Tinubu now embrace him.

Problem with Atiku is he lacks capacity to assess risks, to filter liabilities out of his basket of assets before they drown him.

Give it to Jagaban, the master strategist, a eminent visioner.
