I believe that Mr Emefiele and President Buhari meant well with this program but unpatriotic corrupt elements want to frustrate it. FG must not relent until they collect back every kobo so that the fund can be recycled. This is one reason to be wary of those who blame govt for every problem, they litter the social media, such people are scoffers and when they have opportunity to do better than the govt officials they criticize, they do far worse! I am fully in support of you Mr President. God bless you sir. God bless Nigeria for ever! All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose! Be prepared to hear stories of how flood destroyed their rice farms and they paid bandits levies and ransoms. That's why economy goes beyond recycling money and paying public servants salaries alone and I always oppose isolated approach of govt to economy. Fix security, amenities, bulk buy inputs, share working strategies, build centralized storages, and above all buy excess output for onward processing to avoid breakdown in value chain. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

Good. Nigerians don't really like to pay back loans. If not forced, most will never pay any loan back. It's a sad reality. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

We need better monitoring of loans govt give to individuals. Some people get the loan and use it for different purposes. One way to stop this is for the govt or whoever is disbursing the loan to also be in charge of procurement. If you need loan to buy tractor, we will buy it for you and you pay back. We won't give you the money. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Good move. Buhari and his people really messed up this country, so many uncoordinated policies and programmes. Shortly after the end of Covid restrictions, my colleague (who has japaed to Canada) brought a Federal Government loan initiative to our office (I won't disclose the name of the Government programme) we all applied and got the loan. According to the terms of the loan, we were supposed to commence repayment after 3 months of disbursement. 3 months passed, nobody texted or called anyone to remind us of our government loans repayment, one year passed, two years passed, nobody asked us to pay back what we "borrowed" we forgot about the loan. Obviously, it's was free money afterall. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Many people will come to you for help but the moment you render the help and they don’t need you anymore, you’re a goner . Everyone will be abusing the government but themselves will borrow government money but refused to pay back . The government should put policies in place to make sure people payback . 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG: Stockholm Syndrome still dey worry this resident doctor of Nairaland tribalism hospital! Money that Buhari shared to northerners for his second term in 2019. I recall submitting a business plan for the loan and I never got, a fellow trader from Niger Republic got the loan by just submitting a form which was given to them in the Mosque, he got N10m and relocated to Niger Republic, never planted any rice. Then the others who got the money presented pictures from Jigawa and Kebbi states of flooded rice farms and claimed that they lost all their investment and declared 'Force Majeure' with the help of insiders in NIRSAL and CBN who collected money and entered their names as farmers affected by flood. Many northerners are used to free govt funds under various failed schemes and that's why this Govt is pinching harder over here across the North, meanwhile tribalistic youths like the OP in the South come to Nairaland to insult their parents and even supported Buhari for 8 years and still defending him with the quoted comment above while over here in the North Buhari was busy sharing money anyhow and siting projects all over even to Niger Republic. Emefiele can't say NO to Buhari's orders and its disingenuous of you Tinubus supporters to be mentioning him as a crook and totally overlooking Buhari his boss with various idiosyncratic excuses 24 Likes 1 Share |
