Residents of Kogi state have been subjected to present their voters card to be able to benefit from government palliatives, according to Sahara Reporters.

In a video shared on the internet, residents were seen showing those sharing the palliatives their voters card while they receive N1,000 and food item packaged in black nylon in return.

The residents were seen queuing up in their numbers in order to benefit from the little palliatives meant to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.

The Federal Government had announced a N5 billion palliative for each state of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, to cushion the impact of the removal of the petrol subsidy.

To cushion the effect of subsidy removal, the federal government released five trucks of rice to each state last week.

Furthermore, to cushion the effect of food shortages across the country, the federal government approved the sum of N5 billion to be given to each state to procure 100,000 bags of rice, 40,000 bags of maize and fertilisers.

Misplaced priority. Voters card vs palliative, there is not correlation between the two.

This is man inhumanity to man.
To think he Is doing this to his own people really makes it sad. This guy only cares about himself and his immidaite family. No matter how you scheme through dubious means to install your nephew so that you can continue the looting, know that our people are resolved to embarrass you and your nephew this time. Kogi does not belong to Yahaya Bello

that is the main strategy of Apc rigging in lagos state. This is one the they will never allow poverty to leave nigeria. As they are bringing their pvc now, Apc will write their names down and their pvc number and their phone number which they will use to call them to come and vote on election day
