Enugu State Police Command has paraded 92 suspects arrested in different parts of the state for various offences, including murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and cultism.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include four AK-47 rifles, 66 firearms of different calibres, 333 live ammunition of different calibres, 25 vehicles and other incriminating items.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Kanayo Uzuegbu, who paraded the suspects in Enugu on Tuesday, attributed the success recorded within one month of his assumption of duty in Enugu, to the application of the right policing strategies.

The strategies, he said, were devised to tackle existing and emerging security challenges in the State.

According to him, the strategies were subsumed in his grassroots-driven, proactive, people-oriented and problem-solving policing thrust, which is in line with the policing vision and mission of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

“I have met and interacted with critical security stakeholders, including local government chairmen, traditional rulers, heads of other security agencies and many others, on the best ways to collectively tackle security challenges in the State.

“These engagements, I must tell you, have started paying off as we are making remarkable progress in tackling violent crimes of kidnapping, armed robbery and the criminal activities of subversive criminals.

“It is a known fact that it is humanly impossible to totally eliminate crimes in human society. However, I want to assure the good people of Enugu State and visitors that we remain committed to ensuring that maximum security and tranquility are maintained in the State,” he said.

Good job from the Police
May the guilty ones see repentance and Salvation even in their punishment and may they never found their way back to the society unchanged.
As for the innocent ones, May God deliver them for Nigerian Police can implicate an innocent just to extort or nail someone

I pray they are all guilty because police cannot be trusted. Pray you don't be a victim.

All these boys sef... all our developers are suddenly becoming criminals, or were they formerly pretending? Because I no longer comprehend.

An underdeveloped region will always be a safe haven and training ground for criminals.

check well, most of them are innocent. most refused to part away with money so the police set them up. there should be an avenue where these suspected criminals would be able to give their own accounts of what transpired.

North issue is traditional and political sir...

It is a very deep issue, Police can not cob the Northern issues, only the Northerners them selves can sort their issues out with their own hands...

Can you hear your self? Am very disappointed in your submission so, only in the South the police can do show of force abi?

The North is above the law, the law only exist in the South and what if they refuse to sort it out them selves so the Nigerian state and it's law enforcement agents should leave them to do what ever they wish ba?

But if it's just common peaceful protest in the South police will shoot harmless citizens,

Am sorry where are you from? I want to check something.
