EXPANSION OF THE NEW LAW:

Now if you carefully observe, you just might catch Jesus hinting subtly on this new law -- "As Above, So Below" through the parable of the unforgiving slave

The slave that was forgiven of his debt by his master found it hard to forgive someone else that owed him. The master found out and he was thrown in prison ( the slave's hell)

As I said earlier -- read the bible as a child would

What about the lord's prayer...the way Jesus taught us as children to pray:

"...and forgive us our trespass as we forgive those who trespass against us

As Above, So Below

What you do on earth is done in heaven
if you forgive on earth, you're forgiven in heaven

if you've committed a crime on Earth that you seek forgiveness from heaven, look for someone who has wronged you -- that one person you've sworn never to forgive -- AND FORGIVE THAT PERSON

NOTE: Do not ask the person for any favors or give the person any condition before you forgive...

just call the person, arrange a meeting and forgive that person.

it will come from the bottom of your heart because you did not attach a price tag/ condition to it

further expanding the new law, if you have that request you've been asking God for...yes -- you can receive it -- look for that request someone has been asking you for --- THAT PAINFUL REQUEST -- and grant it

CAUTION: APPLY CONTEXT TO THIS PRINCIPLE

Don't say because someone has been asking to bed your wife, you then decide to call it a painful request you'd be thinking of granting

You'd only be stupid thinking such. woe unto you and your marriage

COROLLARIES TO TRUE GIVING:

COROLLARY 1:

When you give, DO NOT LET ANYONE KNOW, EVEN YOUR WIFE -- your left hand or whatever left hands you may have

Matthew 6 vs 3:
"...but when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing so that your giving may be IN SECRET. Then your father who sees what is DONE IN SECRET, WILL REWARD YOU'

Because the very moment they know and they give you gifts or titles or praises/accolades, DO NOT BE EXPECTING ANY GIFT FROM GOD

The gift you've gotten from man should be enough for you


COROLLARY 2:

Your giving has to be painful.
it has to be something you know you need but decide to share with someone who doesn't have / is in dire need WHILST KEEPING THE ACT TO YOURSELF

example: say you budgeted #100 to buy groundnut and SOMEONE YOU KNOW DOESN'T HAVE ANY is in dire need from you

fine. you don't wanna starve and you don't want the other person to starve, so you decided to give #30 naira from your #100 naira.

That painful giving -- because you gave -- you will receive.

Now I call it painful giving because you gave when you didn't have enough or what you have had already been budgeted

How would God almighty see this act of yours

First ask yourself these questions:

1) How many people are going to church everyday - including children - Little children

a) How many churches are there in the world -- not just Nigeria alone

Heck! RCCG mission is to plant a redeemed church in every short kilometre in walking and driving distance

let's not even talk about the 5- figure seater auditoriums some churches boast of nowadays


Now these churches will be filled with people..millions of people -- even the little kids and the old -- all praying -- asking for things -- fervently crying at the top of their voices, compiled with their fasting...

if all of them are asking, do you think all of them will receive?
if all of them are asking to make their enemies die, what happens to the world population??

if all are praying for millions of dollars, will all get it?


All of them are asking? Who does God choose to give??

Apart fromthe ones He wants to give by virtue of him being unquestionable, he gives the ones who painfully gave

2) If all of them are praying for forgiveness of sins, who does God choose to forgive?

Except the ones he choose to have mercy on, he forgives the wrongdoings of those who forgave the wrongdoings done to them

we're all his children, but why would God choose to give to you or to forgive you ABOVE ALL HIS OTHER CHILDREN?

or do you think it pleases a father of 10 children to only listen to one of his children?

it pains him to give to that 1 child only and neglect the other 9 children but he gives that 1 child regardless.

why?

because that 1 child painfully gave to those in need

COROLLARY 3:

The gift you gave could not be in the form in which you'll receive

ie you painful gave someone your bread/food

Normally you'd be expecting physical bread to fall from heaven

manna right?
WRONG

You'll get the spiritual version of it.

you painfully gave physical bread, you'll get spiritual bread from heaven and that's the beauty of God's giving: the spiritual bread you'd receive could mean that mouth watering job opportunity that makes you put food (bread) on your table or it could mean Spiritual bread in the form of knowledge...that knowledge to understand that complex mathematics or financial market algorithm etc

it could all be yours.
just digest these 3 corrolaries of giving and apply them diligently

DO NOT be like those that give and announce it on national TV

we see Davido -- he could get billions of spiritual gift from God if only he had given the money accumulated on that his birthday and STRICTLY REMAINED ANONYMOUS
the moment he announced his donation and men on earth started giving him accolades, he forfeited a large chunk of his reward from heaven.

for it has been written: " be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, TO BE SEEN BY THEM. if you do, you will have NO REWARD from your father in heaven" -- Matthew 6 vs 1

God sees in secret, blesses accordingly
Men sees in public and blesses accordingly


what was the physical gift he gained from men?
last I heard he became an ambassador to the bank that handled his funds dispersal

he has been rewarded
rewarded by men who sees in public
