Oyinbo and their biased views on things, some of these exotic and expensive fishes may actually be everyday meals in some countries but they will not acknowledge that and only keep within that narrow window of sight undecided undecided undecided undecided

no1 is very rare....no3 is more like a pet fish, what you find in aquariums. It requires a skilled diver to go down almost 300ft to catch it

You think they'd pay thousands of dollars to buy one if they could easily buy it in bulk in these other countries? They may be biased but not foolish. If these fishes were readily available in some other places apart from the location where they're currently found, nobody will be dishing out thousands to buy one just so that it'll keep its status. That will be penny wise, pounds foolish.

Besides, if that was the case, the residents of these other locations where the fish is in abundance would have been making fortune from it. They don't need oyibo or anyone to acknowledge it first.

Let me not join in an argument with you but I remember some years back when an exotic manta ray and one other specie were killed in Bayelsa State due to ignorance of the worth, the worth of the kills was disclosed after the acts. What I said is that those things abound in other regions. undecided undecided undecided

That it was sighted somewhere else doesn't make it less rare. The question, is it common to see that fish in Bayelsa? Do they just swim around in abundance over there? The answer is no, cause if it was common, it wouldn't have made the news when one was caught. It's normal for fish to swim to other regions sometimes, but it's still rare if they're not seen there regularly. Besides, like I said, if they're in abundance in other regions, let the locals create awareness and make money. What's the point of calling the white man bias for not knowing or acknowledging that you have it? Do you really need them to do that for you?

And FYI, some of the fish up there are not found in the West.

We complaining about everything. Why do you need a white man to acknowledge what is in your country? They spend thier money on the ones they know and like. They're not stopping you from publicizing and commercializing yours if you feel you've got in abundance.
